Who cares, he is about to get paid 525,000 USD (minimum position salary for a full time punter) to play in the NFL next season, so he is going to be doing much better than most of those running around playing AFL.

Talk about hitting the big time!

Good Luck to him!!

He won't be making the list. Donnie Jones is the punter and is a borderline Pro Bowler last two seasons. You can't carry two punters into a season. Even if one gets hurt, you just sign a random. Could catch on elsewhere though, potentially.

I have no recollection of him at all either, and I remember some obscure players. Shame on me.

If @dazzledavey36 hasn't heard of him then you know something is amiss. Over to you dazzle.

I don't recognise him at all.

He was a ranga small forward who killed it in pre season to get a rookie spot only to spudded it up in the development league all year in 2011.

Makes Clarry Oliver look like Brad Pitt.

There you have it. Your knowledge of all things MFC is second to none.

How are Trent Zomer and Brendan van Schaik going these days?

Funny but Brendan Van Shaik is a trolley pusher at Woolleys in town here. Have come to know him through mutual friends.. Interesting bloke.

Trent Zomer is still going around at South Croydon with Matty Jones & Max King. They have a fair Demons presence

The Brad Pitt comment was harsh but fair

Had a fair boot on him, went to the Pro School here in Melb, they got him a spot as punter with Ohio State Uni, they won whatever the Bowl is last year

Is used to playing in front of 60000 each week

Wade Lees, remember him, trying to follow same path

I remember him. Struggled to have much of an impact, even in the D-League and was delisted after 1 year.

Happy for him.

I took my son on a trip to the USA in January and on the flight home, we sat next to Brad Wing, Aussie punter for the Giants. Was a terrific bloke, left a huge impression on my son, very friendly.

Does anyone actually temember how he went in the twos?  Any memorably moments?  Ever pushing for senior selection?

How long was he on the list?

Can't believe he never made AFL, the guy was a footballing God. Electric pace, good endurance a booming accurate kick and no weakness who played like Macleod.

Was just on SEN drafted in 2010, played mainly Casey seconds, I don't remember him at all. Talked about playing college football (grid iron) as a punter in front of 110,000 fans regularly. Does that mean US colleges have stadiums the size of the MCG? Doesn't seem credible.

Bigger. I think it's called the Coliseum regularly gets 110k + with standing only.

A lot of the big colleges like Texas, Alabama, Georgia, USC are all 80+

Only the one season and never made it out of the dev league as far as I'm aware.

Maybe he never made it passed the development league because he had no weaknesses to work on.

I love these player descriptions.

No weaknesses? This kid must be the greatest player of all time!

Also, good to see that our quota of three or four red heads has been maintained.

I always knew he'd make a great NFL punter.

Pretty sure he played a NAB Cup game or 2. Surprised so many don't remember him.

He showed a lot of commitment travelling from Geelong each day to get to preseason training while he was on a trial. I think he was picked up in a weak draft purely for his commitment & attitude which the coaching group hoped would rub off on others with more talent.

yeah, it's big. and this is only seated. would be some serious nose-bleed seats given size of playing area
