This is rubbish, propaganda driven by Geelong people. The only time they "had us covered" was the 20 minute patch in the second quarter where they dominated stoppages and kicked 6 goals. If anyone had anyone covered the rest of the game, it was us covering them. And they didn't rest anyone. Dangerfield was (allegedly) sick and spent time on the bench in the fourth but that was it. Why do people have to minimise our win?13 points

The time is now and only a flag will satisfy me. Just about everything has gone right this year and we've had a lot of luck with injuries (not just the very few we've suffered but the ones to important players our opposition have copped). We may not find ourselves in such a great position again and can't just assume we'll make it next year. This year has the feeling of Richmond 2017 about it to me and we must capitalise on the opportunity.12 points

That is just plain wrong. Please save yourself the effort of replying, arguing or asking me to explain why. Do some reading of the basic facts. There is reams of useful, accurate information out there. For Pete's sake, how people could not understand the basics about this disease and the response to it this far into the pandemic just blows my mind. But it certainly explains a lot of about peoples choices, their behavior and the situation we are in.10 points

Start planning for Next Year, next year You have no idea how circumstances will pan out. Seize the moment when it arrives8 points

Half the modern players don’t watch a second of other games. Some watch a bit, footy nerds like Gawn are rare.8 points

GWS is embarrassing. Their forwardline is more abandoned than Melbourne after 9pm.7 points

In the future I will be. For the rest of the 2021 calendar year I'll have to be heavily sedated.7 points

I'd be bitterly dissapointed, we enter Preliminary final week with a healthy list, in good form and as the best side in the competition, any result other than a flag in my opinion would equate to a choke. I think at the start of the year i would have been happy with making the 8 but when you win the first 11 games or whatever we did, the goal posts shift.7 points

Wow talk about MFCSS to the max. We’ve all wanted to see our boys go deep in September, and when the moment arrives some just completely drop their bundle. These are the moments to enjoy, not be anxious about. I’m pumped and will be for the next 7 days. We are up our eyeballs in it this year. Comrades............Dees.............BELIEVE6 points

I have just watched a pathetic semi final so why is my MFCSS running so hot ?6 points

Everytime the Giants have looked dangerous the umpires have found someway to award Geelong a free. In the last it’s become farcical.6 points

My great insight for the evening. there are so many dislikable players in this Geelong side 🤮 Hawkins - miraculously clumsy when it suits him (eg. highly tackles, errant elbows) Dangerfield - smug Selwood - jerk Smith - hated him at Hawthorn Cameron - looks like Smith Guthrie - white guy with locks Miers - white guy with locks & a stupid first name Rohan - I think even Geelong supporters don’t like him6 points

My favourite part of this game is Soundgarden in the ad breaks. Ch 7 or their OB/prod has a SG fan - they’ve run a few SG songs last few weeks including Outshined, Drown Me at least. a huge loss. Last gig. 🥺6 points

We could beat both these teams. I don’t mean EITHER of these teams, I mean BOTH these teams, as in, at the same time. 😆6 points

Should anyone be "satisfied" with anything less than a premiership - Hell NO If we do not win this this year we can still acknowledge improvement in both the list and the way the team has played But satisfied - we should never be satisfied unless we win a flag6 points

Seatbelts don't guarantee you won't get injured in a car crash, but you'd be foolish not to wear one. Parachutes don't guarantee you'll survive a fall out of a plane, but your odds of survival might be a tad better. Get vaccinated. You'd be a fool not to.6 points
-
It greatly reduces your risk of catching and transmitting it. It’s a no brainer to get all the players vaccinated in the off season. I for one hope all our players are pushed to get it done as soon as our season is finished. It’s also about leading the way and setting a good example for the community. Players are, rightly or wrongly, role models.6 points

The real question is: will Goody review the game afterwards? this is critical to any future success 😂6 points
-
Depends. If Geelong or GWS come out all guns blazing and beat us fair and square then i'll cop it. They are both capable teams and sometimes you get beaten by a better opponent on the day. We've had a great season no matter what. If we waste our chances and kick 8-15 on the other hand I'll be frustrated as all hell6 points

It doesnt make sense I know but I think I'd be more devastated playing a Prelim against Geelong and losing, than making the GF and losing. Its a reflection on my disdain for Geelong obviously. To beat them twice in H&A and lose to them in a Prelim would be the pits6 points
-
I guess, in time, I would be satisfied, but the closer we get the more my expectations rise. I know I would be bitterly disappointed if we were to lose the prelim but I would get over it and accept that it was a pretty good year. However, if we were to win prelim and then lose the grand final I'd be absolutely devastated. There's a lot of MFCSS at play here. GO DEES!6 points

It’s all about focus for the team. A regular training run and some of our blokes aren’t too bad with the round ball but one bit that clearly stood out comes about 2.08 into the video. May and Smith.5 points

Seriously? Assuming we make it to the GF and then get beaten by a better team on the day...you call it "a choke"? There's no way this current side will "choke". You've been reading too many articles about MFC v Eagles and underestimate the steel of this side. Get there first, win or lose, this won't be a choke. It's a very different team.5 points

No. Nothing in life is ever certain .... The planets have aligned ... form / lack of injuries ... Richmond ... won premiership in 1980. Easily the best side. Looked certain to back up in 1981 ... they missed the finals altogether. Melbourne is easily the best team this year. If they don't win, it will be because they didn't perform on the big day/s. Get it done !!!5 points

Once again, this is simply wrong. And it is really dangerous misinformation, not to mention unhelpful.5 points

If we don’t win the flag from here it will a bigger waste than paying Gerry Harvey job keeper……and just as shameful.5 points

If we get smashed then no. If a close one, I would not be satisfied with the outcome of 2021 but I would be satisfied with the direction of the team5 points

Very satisfied! We’ve gone way further than anyone ever thought we would. And I suspect this wonderful season is NOT a one-off. ❤️💙5 points

We're on the path to a flag, or multiple flags. This is the start, so yes. But when you get this close, you need to make the most of the opportunity, as it is very hard to get to the point we are at.5 points

Saw him in Richmond a few years ago with a compression bandage around his troublesome calf. I said gday hows it going and he gave me the time of day and engaged in convo and i thought then nice bloke. Played 100 games at elite level which us 100 more than I played. GOOD LUCK Dom!5 points
