Hi Dazzle they only mentioned that everyone got through the hit out bar Harmsey. So sounds like Grundy will be ready to go if picked and I hope that he and JJ come straight into the team.!!

HUN says Brodie did little, virtually nothing when forward. Schache even less. Harmes did his hammy. Disco went forward and did OK. Spargo the standout.

One player who does look for a target kicking into the fifty. Something we’re crying out for.

He led the AFL in this regard in '21

We simply don't have a top line key forward to bring in next week. What Spargo is, or can be, is someone who can hit a team-mate in the forward 50 on the chest more than anyone else on our list.

To NOT include him would be our biggest risk.

Probably Turner or Tommo up forward and Spargo for Laurie.

Could you be really adventurous and play AMW?

Freed max to do what, get 40 disposals instead of only 27?

(BTW, Cox had 9 disposals and 2 marks ... not exactly game-winning)

Get more disposals and kick goals

cox’s incidental acts like taking two Mfc players out and allowing a pies mark and goal don’t count. Things like that

I know Max plays his best footy when he’s the sole ruckman, but it’s a big ask for him to ruck solo for four successive games should we get to the GF.

Grundy in means Max plays, say, 50% forward. Would certainly test both Blues and Lions(?) defenders.

A bonus if Grundy could snag a goal or two.

Grundy should come in and share ruck duties.
Gawn was immense in the ruck. But now he has to sacrifice for the team to get the most out of someone else possibly at the (hopefully minor) expense of his own game.

Can he do it? From his rhetoric, he will ask Goodwin for Grundy to play - I just hope he knows that what that means for him.

Those that want the Grundy Experiment to continue into next year - this is it, and it is on Max to make it work.

Would be a big risk to try Disco forward but he is mobile and can take a grab - can see him adding more as a forward than Grundy tbh

Wether he plays or not he will not be at the demons next year. With Roo out we need another tall and there is no one else.

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
