Big deal for the big frittata

I was a doubter at the end of 2020 but his goal kicking improved dramatically. Now a dead eye in front of goal. Great news that he has signed on for 5 years

Great News,

Imagine going back in time to the sad era and telling yourself that a Melbourne player that kicked 6 in a winning Grand Final just re-signed for 5 years. I'd check myself into an asylum .

Pay-Day for Bay-Bay. Deserves it, hopefully his form from this year is a stepping stone for the years ahead, what a gun.

It's entirely possible that long term barracking for Melbourne made you snap, and everything that's happened since August is only an hallucination. Maybe in the real world Fritsch is negotiating to join Essendon? Wishing you a complete recovery!

He would have got a 6 year extension but his last goal in the GF was in junk time.

Excellent re-signing.

I remember at the end of last season he remained un-signed and I was worried we were going to lose him as he'd had a wayward season in front of goal, he'd been dropped for sleeping in whilst in the hub and then there was the famous axing after the 2018 semi final. He could've been forgiven for wanting a fresh start I guess.

Fast forward a year later and he's kicked 6 snags in a GF, almost kicked 60 for the season and he's now going to be a key part of our next 5 years.

Well done to both parties.

So not much chance of him coming to my place to fix the lights anytime soon then.

Love it ❤️💙🏆

He’s making the number “31” be famous all over again.

And trust it continues. Pick number 31 initially and wears number 31. Great omen and can only hope he does RDB's number proud going forward.

Bailey has never had problems getting the ball and having shots on goal. This year though his accuracy was infinitely more reliable.
His GF spilt speccy over Gawn, cat-like and Robbie-like regather and goal is one of my all time favourites

Oh, I dunno ... have you tried breaking them?

Great signing!  The sky is the limit for Fritta now that he is no longer our #1 forward target.

Is that his name? You’d think it was Ron Barassi the way he gets mentioned any time he touches the ball. Annoys the [censored] out of me.

Anyway great news, always been a fan, couldn’t be happier.

Deadset - who else is left for us to worry about losing?

This playing group has a fair bit left in them. Exciting times ahead.

Excellent news. These Boys want to stick together

Aim for constant excellence and this Club will be back where it should be

Wouldn't mind signing Gus and Charlie. Oliver OOC next year.  Not that I think they would leave.

LJ unsigned but story a little while back that it is happening.

Fully expect our stable list to continue for some years to come.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

A undermanned Dees showed some heart and desperation to put the Fremantle Dockers to the sword as they claimed their first victory for the season winning by 10 points at the MCG.
