Agreed

Why Brissie ? We don't play them in Round 1 or early in the season.

Might be better to change name to X only if you keep making posts like this Theo!!!

He's referring to the first round pick we owe them after the season.

Yuck, smacks of desperation.

Brissie will be licking their lips at the thought of our juicy R1 pick.

Do you know what Archie Smith, Tom Fullarton, Sam Skinner, Connor Ballenden and former reality tv show winner Matt Eagles all have in common.

They are the guys who got games for Brisbane in the back up ruck/forward role whilst Stef Martin was injured last year.

It had no impact on where they finished on the ladder.

So is the plan to have T Mac and Jackson as our stay at home key forwards while Daw rotates between forward, second ruck and bench?

While Mitch Brown is back up if any of the above gets injured.

I'd personally have Brown ahead of Daw (with Jackson being the second ruck) as he has a few more runs on the board since 2019.

..and he probably is, but with several talls out medium to long term he will add depth and options.

Hooray,

Great news,  I was surprised that North would dump half its team let alone Majak.

I thought straight away he was a player that would have an impact.

Luckily it is with us.  The only concern I have is that they don't play him, just like Harley Bennell who was given very little chance at all.

Bennell was finished Hello, he had plenty of opportunities, saw it with my own two eyes on multiple occasions at Adelaide Oval in 2020.

Majak will be a handy back up in multiple positions.

i wonder how much of a pre season he's had?

might not be up to scratch for first 4 or so rounds

Read somewhere that he had signed on with some local footy club. Not that it compares to AFL level training, but it’s not as if he sat on his bum since North delisted him. He looks like a man that keeps himself in good shape

well only 4 weeks till rnd1 and yet to start training (AFL wise) I seriously doubt he would be afl match ready

i'm sure he is basically fit and looked after himself, but has done nothing approaching an afl preseason

still, i hope he's not required by rnd1 anyway

You also mentioned Matt Scharenberg which I'd hoped we'd have a look at. Too good a talent to be out of the AFL system.

Although he probably wouldn't help our injury issues right now.

I blv his mental altitude is what’s stood in way but circumstances meant we need a fwd/ruck utility and Majak fits that Bill perfectly as a 5/6th option

The amount of discarded stuff I've resurrected over the years would astound you. I recently saved two wall heaters ($450ea when new), both are in excellent condition and manufactured in 2015. They were missing mounting brackets which cost me $40. They are now installed in a unit I own. The point is; discards can be fixed if you have the nous and the will.

My good lady has brought a few items off Facebook marketplace, two 70s liking side boards, the look grand and were an ok price.

I went to collect them and situate them in the Ute, took me some time, while I was doing so the lass who sold them wandered out of her house to her car. As she opened the boot she said “ the things you find on the side of the road” and preceded to pull out 3 weathered tables she was going to do up and sell for a tidy profit. Made me laugh/sad face.

Majak isn’t weathered, he’s still learning the caper. Personally if he dropped a few kgs I think he’d be able to get to a few more fwd contests and clunk a couple more marks.

I would back our current crop of coach's and performance staff to get the best out of him if he has the drive to make it happen. A lot of people think the HB signing was a bust and I get that, but I think it's overlooked that we got him back on the field and if it wasn't for some of his own mental issues he could of had a good future with the Club

Please. We need not acknowledge North possessing any acumen in what decisions they have made. They cleaned out their list to the bones believing in a re build from the ground up. Sort of a scorched earth policy, and Majak was one of the casualities.

Not that I care very much what Tim Watson thinks, but even he questioned whether the Roos were too quick to turf out Daw. So they have not escaped media attention for the decision. I hope Majak proves North wrong in getting rid of him. Serves them right.

And Majak deserves another chance at redemption. Why should he be denied it?

Bradke ?? Is he still with us? Must have the slowest development rate in the AFL history.

Has anybody seen this guy recently?

Fullarton has jumped ahead of him and looks the goods as a super athletic basketball convert, however theyre likely to go in with just 1 ruck in McInerney with McStay, Hipwood and Daniher down forward pinching

Just to get this thread back on track. Wander around Toorak, Armadale, Malvern when it's hard rubbish time. The stuff that gets discarded will astound you.

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
