terrible if true, why bother playing a pointless game

Every club is locked down so find it hard to believe “you heard it on the grapevine” from anyone, Several teams have flown interstate under the same conditions & no one has had any complaints. Even if true ...everyone out there is living with a degree of fear & uncertainty so “poor form” to post that !!

According to 3AW there's an AFL press conference scheduled at the same time as our game.

Gil to speak 3.30pm our (Qld) time which I assume will be 1/2 time of Lions/Hawks game. Stay tuned folks.

I might be wrong but I’m pretty there’s no hotel stays on this trip.. it’s a fly in/ fly out on the same day process

Instagram stories seem to indicate they flew yesterday afternoon.

Several times last year I vented my frustrations of Oscar McDonald. He's now had one more pre-season to hone his skills. Today he'll come up against Kennedy and Darling, last time they met I remember they kicked ~6 goals as a direct result of poor performances from Oscar (out-muscled, out-marked, and out-ran).

Today is a fresh start for him, but at least, today will mark my expectations of him for the rest of the season. If he gets pants yet again I will eagerly look forward to the returns of Smith and Petty from injury.

I think you’re correct Joeboy. I was of the belief they flew over on the same plane the freo players flew back on. And then fly back after the game.

Yeah, don't care about the game at all now. Couldn't care less if we win by 100 or lose by 100.

Far more important things going on in our country to worry about than footy. Put it on the back burner and focus on those who are ill, at risk and struggling for work. Get everything right first.

I hope everyone on Demonland is doing okay during this tough time. Let's make sure we all stick together here. Love you all.

They haven't called off the rugby yet so I'm keeping it but once that goes I'm cancelling.

In the same boat Wise, hope the traffic on here continues for a while even if it’s just to give someone a bit of a smile for a few seconds.

6:40 is such a late start. Still can’t believe the AFL scheduled the game for this time considering what we all know about Perth’s weather this time of the year. 3:40pm Perth time? Sun will be absolutely peaking!

But we’ll still get up, so...

??

Its 31 degrees in Perth at the moment. Easterly blowing with a little bit of cool air now and again. Not too uncomfortable and cooler by the river.

Will be interesting to see how the players respond knowing this will be their last game for quite a while.

After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
