I don’t usually agree with you @joeboy but you’re bang on today.  Gawn was disappointing around field, jumped one handed at the ball all day

Lever - Horrible first game

Hibberd - Came into it

Hunt - Got better

McDonald - Solid

Jones - effectiveness of disposal?

Gawn - Good game

Oliver - Love

Vince - Came into it

Salem - Looked good early

Neal-Bullen - Didn't do enough

Lewis - Undisciplined

Petracca - showed a lot

Pedersen - Not his best

Harmes - Not convinced

Fritsch - Not there yet

Garlett - Quiet

Hogan - Worked hard

Wagner - No

Hannan - Didn't do enough

Maynard - Not yet

Melksham -  Didn't do enough

We need to think seriously about whether we can play Jones, Lewis & Vince in the same side.

Agree with the review on Melksham. His preseason form went completely missing.

Harmes was disappointing for mine, not sure if he'll ever go to another level.

Pedo tried hard all day and was unlucky a few times.

Gawn was probably BoG if he had kicked that. Super game.

Jones worked himself back into it I thought.

Lever had a mare for the first half but his second was much better.

Goodwin - in the hotseat??

We got outcoached. They forced lever to play 1/1 and cleverly had toohey as a spare man running out of the backline. We stuggled to combat some of these strategies. When Scott made a move, it worked. Goody needs a few good wins under his belt pronto or he will be on the front page of the hun with the footy journos flinging butt mud at him.

I think Frost is a better option than Wagner. His run would have been something we could have used today.

Goodwin - No Game Plan.

Lewis - No leadership here

Maynard - Still VFL standard

Tyson & Brayshaw - Should have played

Maynard - Massive responsibility on his shoulders for a guy who has played under 5 games.  How can you say he is VFL standard?  Building a great foundation.

Harmes - Had a good 2nd half

Jones often gets hard, contested ball with little assistance which tends to lead to what is mentioned above.

Jones also often plays on without thought and without looking at the options he has available.  It's one of his biggest flaws, in particular since he's the captain.

Jones was not the problem today. Goodwin had a shocker

Agree here. Cats attacked through the centre all game and either the Coach or so called team leaders on ground did not cover this important part of the ground. Plenty of Cat's goals came from loose players in centre corridor and we did not respond to cover that area.

Also the problem is we have many lazy players who do not work hard enough both ways

Frosty  a big body and key back to free Lever to play the sweeper roll. We would be structured better. Can break the lines.

Tyson is an under rated inside mid  not selected today we were one less experience onballer to help Petracca and Jones. Would have been the difference l believe.    At least Frosty  and Dom have heart !

Goodwin, what were you thinking.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
