Think it will harder to do that now, as he plays outside like I said and is not in the packs.

jones is not in the packs; ablett certainly was at gc17

he's a superstar

treat his limited preseason with peril

Ablett with half a hammy is still a better player than 98% of the competition. Let's not take him lightly just because he has had limited preparation. He is very damaging both in the middle and up forward.

Doubt the club is going to take his inclusion in the side lightly. I bet they have a specific plan for him and Danger, and that won't change until the final 22 are listed.

I am not fussy about when, who or where (but Viney at the opening bounce is one of those "If only... " thoughts)

Agree.

My conern, however, is that they figure out how to shark off Maxy’s hitouts..

Max easily won the hitouts against Saints, but I think we still lost the clearances. (I stand to be corrected.)

Well, what's official  story re Dangerfoots hammy??

He’s officially the first person to take until Wednesday for basic hammy scan results.

I’m surprised someone with James Brown’s cape didn’t come and drape it over Dramafield’s shoulders and lift him off the ground outside the clinic.

Assuming both have a full list, ablett will be blocked by petracca, Selwood will cop Viney, and Danger will be blocked by Vince,  leaving ANB/Harmes/Salem to take a long tap from Gawn and deliver in F50 with Hogan up front...

ok, I’m dreaming right?

Nearest to the pin:  Ablett hamstring goes ping at the 13 minute mark of the second quarter.

Dangerfield too busy talking about himself for his hammy to matter.

That got me as well. I’m not even really sure what that means.

It means nothing. If he doesn't play he can just say it was just his own tboughts. Zero accountability.

Gives his mate Hutchy a click bait article.

That's because he barely tapped to advantage. Got better as the game wore on, but he's very overrated, our Max.

This is where not checking facts then making statements that are wrong, then another hack also does not check facts believes said statement, then many also don't check stats, furthers falsehoods, then many believe it and are all hacks, we won clearances by 41 to 38, now that's half the story, we won centre clearances by 20 to 12, winning centre clearances is more important then stoppages, because it often leads to inside 50's, also there are less players in a centre clearances then a stoppage, in a stoppage there are so many players around the ball and so those hitouts are more 50 50 in who wins the clearances.

They showed Ablett at training in runners not doing much.  It doesn’t look a certainty from where I sit.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
