Best mate of Andy Brayshaw. Does the 100 x 100s with the Brayshaw brothers on Christmas day. 191cm tall mid with clean hands and good decision making. Some question about his tank, but that can be worked on.

Draft watchers, where's he likely to go?

Top 20 might drop a little but Won’t make it to our pick sadly.

As you’ve brought up Brayshaw - rumours circling Freo like him at 2!!!!!

Purely based on that highlights video he reminds of me Clarry with his ability to make quick smart decisions that put team mates in to the clear. If that's true I can't see him slipping out of the top 20.

I want us to draft this bloke, purely because he has the same full name as my 5 yo son, but not more than I'd love for my Charlie to be drafted by the MFC in 13 years time.

I recon there's about the same chance of either/both happening at this point.

Callum Twomey doesn't have him in his top 30.

Others rate him a top 10 but Twomey comments that "there are questions on his running." If he was available at 29 or whatever, I would personally handcuff him to the draft table and claim him.

Brett Anderson compared him to Jobe Watson on SEN this morning. He hopes we pick him.

Shame to see him go directly before our third. This is why people get frustrated during trade week when better deals can be struck if Mahoney learnt to negotiate better (e.g. Watts for 31, when Watts and 36 for 31 and 34 should have been pushed).

With that said I'm stoked to see us claim Fritsch, also recall Spargo being touted as a high draft prospect (at the start of the year) before injury.

Well, he made it to us and we didn't take him.  I'm not overly impressed.  Could have had Moore as well.  Didn't.  We could have made up for not having a first round pick with those guys.

Agree. Amazed.  Pick 29 Charlie Constable

why? 1/ He is a gun mid. Gets the footy. Good size. 2/ best mates with Brayshaw

FFS

Reason 1 is nothing but speculation, and if was a such a gun he'd have gone in round 1.

Reason 2 is irrelevant

You can build a tank, but you can't make them grow half a foot.

Well my Charlie has about another 4 or so feet still grow (perhaps more).  Pretty good tank already  (hyperactive little guy, drives me nuts at times).  Would have been interesting to see if his namesake was still there at 37, perhaps there is hope for a son to play for the MFC after all!

@Mach5 is right. His tank isn’t fantastic. Ran a similar time trial to Rayner last week but the difference is that Rayner has some elite traits to his game.

I watched Charlie a few times this year and he was always labouring around the field. It’s hard to tell how he’ll go at AFL level. But imo, similarly to Gysberts, I’m not sure he has the aptitude for hard work. His lack of foot speed and average athletic ability works against him too.

He is a smart mid, but it’s really hard to tell how he’ll go at AFL level. As far as inside mids go however, we certainly had no need to draft him or Worpel.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
