Bliclavs had a stand out year but a poor one this season. My Geelong friend says that he lost a lot of mobility when he bulked up. He was previously a talented middle distance and steeplechase athlete. My friend feels his natural athleticism was sacrificed for bulk with a negative result on his game.

I also think Bliclavs was the most damaged by the 'no third man up' rule. He was a solid midfielder with a huge tank that would add real advantage at the taps, I believe he even won their B&F only a couple of years ago.

Why would anyone want Biclavs when we have pederson who is an actuall footballer and watts who is ten times the player than Biclavs

Where's all this talk about McRae or  another gun mid coming and why haven't we heard anything about it outside Demonland??

Answer to the first question was from 1 or 2 posters on DL with supposed "inside sources".

Answer to the second question is 99% likely to be because it isn't true, but that won't stop us all playing along.

Would love to get Dalhaus at a decent price.

Watts is gone and Pederson will be 31 at the start of '18 season. Bliclavs is 4 years younger and his running capacity is a weapon.

He would be very very lucky if he is... If so, he would have to pull his fist out.

No one suggested Macrae was coming. Someone just guessed/hoped that the rumored quality mid (big fish) Roost it said we were in the market for might be Macrae.

Thurlow, yes...

Stanley can't play, no way.

Work into the GC deal and get Aaron Hall to the Dees.

Geelong makes sense to look at Watts, looks like Stringer off to Ess. They're throwing away a 40 goal+ player in Menzel...

I still think Watts will go to Sydney.

But if Geel... Definitely wouldn't take Stanley.  Thurlow is good but we have Hibberd, Hunt. I'd take Menzel and Bliclavs.

If Watts ends up at Geelong, we should trade for a player, not the fringe dwellers being tossed up here

Stanley FFS

Menzel? Watts' game is more contested and he's a FA

Blivacs. His value disappeared with the 3rd man up rule

Fit Viney & Oliver are A graders already. Petracca, Hogan & Lever potential A graders.

It would be the absolute heist of the year of Macrae asked to be traded to us.  I can't see it happening though.  If his problem is with "bad eggs" at the Bulldogs, their management would let the lot of them go (Stringer, Biggs and whoever else) before they let Macrae walk.

It's a nice dream though.

Id say its less than 10% chance and diminishing by the day.

Very, very unlikely.

Stanley is a renowned pea heart who plays a good quarter every six weeks.  Thurlow is quick but a poor decision maker and average user - got dropped from their finals team.  No way are these adequate swaps for Watts.  Set your sights a bit higher!!

Dawes survived the Collingwood rabble before he joined MFC so I guess Watts would similarly easily adapt. Hunt and Salem also versatile kids in the same mould. Maybe we should swap to get a replacement Brighton Grammar from GWS (such as Kelly)?

I've no idea who Thurley or Stanley are, whenever i watch a Geelong game, all they mention is Dangerwood, Hawkins and Harry with a side serving of Motlop and a sprinkle of Mitch Duncan

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
