MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 23

If Kirby arrives as a danger player but can be put off his game then swing Bernie on to him.

If the shearer gets reported, many posters won't mind and this will free up a spot for JV if he is suspended.

Re West Coast v Crows : WTF, won't affect us if we win and the Eagles won't anyway.

Don't be alarmed....

Are Collingwoof supporters allowed in MCC? Do any of them own collared clothing?

Only those good at "snowdropping".

I'm super excited but my Collingwood supporter husband has a bad case of the man flu and will not be accompanying me tomorrow.

I pondered whether I should stay home and play Florence Nightingale for a brief moment but then quickly changed my mind. I'll be there tomorrow and I will dose my husband up on drugs before I go and bring him home some jam donuts and the footy record.

Go Dees ❤️?

I know but then I keep reminding myself I am lucky- he could have been an Essendon supporter. That would be worse in my eyes.

Jane leave him to fend for himself and don't give him another thought, enjoy being wrapped in the warmth of the Dees faithful. Feel sorry for him when you get home.

Until today I wasn't aware Collingwood had a player named Kirby. Who is he and why are we apparently so afraid of this zero game player?

Is he the fat bloke?

I reckon you pondered for about 1 nano second Jane!

Anyway he's probably putting it on because he knows ( not that filth supporters know much) that we'll win by 10 goals.

I married a Carlton supporter who spent a lot of time at Richmond with her tiger crazed uncles. Told her that she would have to convert to Dee's if she wanted to spend rest of her life with me. She has now spent more of her life as a Dee than a Blue and is one of our most ardent supporters at the game. Told me last week that it doesn't matter where we are playing if we reach the finals, we'll be going there.

Yep, and she produced two good sons as well. One not too interested in sport, the other a mad Demon. Managed to get himself into the MCC tomorrow and asked me what the dress code was. Told him as it was Collingwood's home game, it would be torn jeans and missing teeth.

Kent Kingsley.

I don't recall Kent Kingsley destroying us on debut.

Kingsley also had two 50 goal seasons. Despite his reputation around here being that of a dud who routinely destroyed us, the guy could clearly play.

we are coming up against 22 players who want to win. we barely got over the line last week against the bottom of the ladder side. So lets not get too over confident, we have a habit of blowing those matches. Everyone needs to focus on tomorrow and beating collingwood well.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
