Gus getting thru the game will be the best news since we beat Port 4 hours ago!

Yes, but he's doing more than just getting thru the game. Seems to have his mojo back.

Bit hard to fathom what's going on with the commentator's banter at times, not to mention their preoccupation with toilet paper. Good on them, but it's Jack Hutchins not Mark. Go Gus

Very excited to hear Gus getting amongst it.  I thought it would take him a few weeks at least to get his confidence back.

What a fantastic bit of news to round out a good day.

Thanks heaps for the updates.

Fantastic work by Casey, following on from the win at the G earlier today.

Personally I had a very good Friday night, so this has the makings of a great weekend....

Great news on Gus having a solid game.

According to many not in our best 22 and unlikely to play seniors this year.

Before this derails into a Brayshaw only thread, I believe he probably needs the rest of the season and another preseason to get make to his best, and more so to have good confidence back into himself

Pederson kicks a goal 60 out. 2 for the night.

stretch and spencer combine for a goal. Dees 11 points up

Reckon Pedo could have been given a "General Soreness" freshen-up after his recent flat form .

Not sure a mid-winter slog at windy , frigid Casey will do the trick .

Don't know where this bloke got his info from but Pedo was about 25m out not 60.....

Bit of bad news, I saw White came off the ground before 3QT and seem to get some work oh his hamstrings possibly, and I'm pretty sure he didn't come back into the ground. Just saw White walk into the social rooms and he seems to be real sore

According to the VFL website-

Best Players: B. Fritsch, J. Hutchins, C. Maynard, J. Munro, D. Keilty, J. Wagner

Even though he's my brother I'm surprised Keilty got in there over Brayshaw, also I would add Kennedy to that list but more on that tmoz

Maynard popping up on the best list on a regular basis now. Wondering if the coaches will resist playing him up and let him develop a full season at Casey. He seems very promising.

Just some observations on the game:

Gus looks like his old self but with a helmet

Goodwin was there watching game from the scoreboard side of the ground during the first quarter

Nice tactic to come out hard against the wind in the third quarter

An 80 meter kick

I have frostbite

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
