That is just the best news!

He showed his skill and talent in his first season when he won the game vs Ess with a goal after the siren.  Cool, composed and deadly accurate.

I knew then we had someone special.

He is know getting the recognition he deserves.

I think fans underestimate just how good Salem is. He has so many attributes it's scary how good this guy will be.

Strong mark, elite kick, hard to beat 1 on 1, tough at it, tackles well.

Apart from glaring speed, this guy is quite the package.

Salem will continue blossom into an A-grade player over the next season or two, if his health holds.

We're building something very special.

Love him.

It's such a luxury to have a player like that on the half-backline too.  Reminds me a bit of James Kelly at Geelong in that respect; easily capable of being a very good player in the midfield, but playing off halfback where we need his skillset even more.

Fabulous news.  Salo is one of our core group of 'top liners' who are destined to take us to the next level.  His signing was an imperative imo, and he's now locked in.  I'm thrilled that he's chosen to be part of a very big future at the Melbourne Football Club.

Good signing. Provided he can remain healthy he has all the tools the become a quality player for us long term. He's already impacting games, but like many youngsters just needs to build consistency.

Hopefully his health issues are behind him and we can keep him on the park tearing it up with that laser kick of his!

Great news.

Now for Kelly.

Agree. Why don't we go after Kelly?

Reckon we are a very attractive proposition for someone like Kelly that wants to get back to Melbourne from a soulless afl created franchise to the oldest club in the land.

Lets bring the band back together - the Brighton Grammar boys Salem, Watts, Hunt and Kelly in the same team.

Just sayin.....

Who says we aren't? If our recruiters weren't looking at josh Kelly they wouldn't be doing their job.

Exactly what we need - a healthy dose of overdue Public School elitism so that the MCC/MFC Members can employ the time honoured refrain to those who follow The Filth and others of that ilk:

"STFU or we'll raise your rent!"

[censored] yes. One of my favourites.

Just so cool with ball in hand. Fierce without it.

Will be up there with Oliver and Petracca as our best 3 in the not so distant.

Collingwood supporters don't pay rent.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
