Hibberd is elite. On 2017 form he's within the best 20 players in the comp IMO. I can only think of Rance who is clearly ahead of him as a defender. Amazing player.

Serious question was asked on the radio...."is Melbourne now the toughest team in the Afl?"....never thought id hear the day.

1.5 games probably isn't a large enough sample size to go by but if Oscar has started to develop some confidence in his marking, that is huge for his development, and for the club.

I think we really need to give credit to our football dept on this. The amount of bile on D/L about oscar over the last two years has been legand. We should trust our expert more, but I understand it is difficult when it is people like Mark Neald.

Go dees. And go our wonderful coaches. We are on track!

I'm blown away by today. Almost more than Crows game. Hard to remember a time I've loved my club more.

last year was a fluke full stop, they are a mess the dogs premiership false alarmers.

Can't wait to watch the replay.

Radio stations raving on Oscar.

Sounds like we had a serious spread of contributors, harder at the contest and faster on the spread, with a dominant backline and a creative forward line.

Why can't we win in Perth next week?

We can, and will.

Early thoughts.

Salem, Hunt, Jetta and Hibberd all huge. Don't like to be beaten. Incredibly hard to beat. Just a driving force off half back.

It's starting to click for Oscar. And he looks like the bloke from Narcos.

Nothing I love more than this maniacal tackling. I said to Wiseblood yesterday that teams can't keep up that pressure for 4 quarters, well we pretty much did. So impressive.

Incredible 2 weeks by Watts. In fact his whole season has won me over. His efforts against Geelong and Richmond in the ruck where he got battered. Little lull after that, then his cool head and skills these last 2 weeks, just brilliant.

Love everything Pedo brings.

Garlett is on [censored] fire. Tackling for fun

Bugg back to his [censored] ways, he feeds off it.

Special mention to that giant potato gem, Tom Boyd, for making TMac look like Dean Cox

I've got a bit more respect for them than that. Saw them put it together way too many times to think it was a fluke.

They got their premiership, maybe the hunger isn't there as much this year.

Stringer is an absolute shadow of what he was at his peak. Didn't look like doing anything dangerous all day and his one moment in the sun he completely burnt his teammates.

He really does.

Great show, not sure how season 3 will fare without Don Pablo though.

I actually think we play this ground better than the G.

Has Goodwin brought his game plan from Essendon which is Etihad based??

Does it stand up at the G?

Im not sure which way it will go but I hope we improve on the G

No doubt we have been flying under the radar until now.

Media have forgotten we lost 2 games under a goal as well as 1 from poor kicking (geelong) and 1 from injuries (rich).

Add in the best AFL ruckman missing as well as a talented full forward out and we have been ignored by many.

Perhaps now they will pay attention to a club that is full of young talent and seriously going places.

After a decade of darkness.......the future is very bright.

In some ways the beneficiary of Pedo's form could be Weiderman. Because this completely takes the spotlight off him and will allow him to develop at VFL level.

Pedo is 100% ahead of Weids and is playing great footy right now. I actually would've like to have seen him kick that goal he gifted to Harmes. Would've been just reward for effort.

He's clunking some strong marks as well which will be giving him huge confidence.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
