Meanwhile Adelaide currently 15.20.110 to Fremantle 3.1.19. Midway through the third.

Let us (players and fans) never forget we beat Adelaide by 7 goals in Adelaide.

Nor the fact that we lost to Freo at the MCG!!

I'm not trying to say the fact we beat Adelaide makes us the best team in the league or anything like that.

But in a season where the closest margin from any other visiting side this year is GWS' 56 point loss in Round 1, our 41-point win should serve as a reminder to all of what we are capable of.

'titan', I think it's more about colour pieces these days.

They've got retired champions to give special comments & all they do is fill colour and give absolutely no insight into the game.

The drivel they carry on with you & I could do from watching the tele...

It dumb's down the game...

It's about ratings I know but for me I would rather see the end of the old champions like Mathews, Carey, Watson, Lyon as they have been out of the game to long and bring nothing to the table.

Even Richardson & Ling have been left behind.

Bring in fresh talent for expert commentary every couple of years and keep up to date...

As for the likes of Taylor, Russell & their ilk, surely we can do better...

Listened to the Richmond v Essendon game on 774 for a little bit tonight and was continually impressed by the Carlton captain Lauren Arnell's insights as a special commentator. She really broke down each play and assessed it in modern day footy terms. Really, really good stuff. I want to hear more of that from the flogs on FOX/7.

Freo dont deserve to be anywhere near the 8.  Their percentage is a pitiful and they have just been very lucky.  No way are they holding their spot.

Agreed they have been very lucky, should never have beaten us and Richmond

They don't know that stuff.

And the ones that do, have buried it so they can make in-jokes and be "entertaining".

We didn't play well and we get Free in a purple patch which often happens with struggling teams. They have no reverted back to what was happening in the first few rounds of the year.  Think of periods for us when struggling we suddenly play well for a bit then fall in a hole again.

We always seem to struggle a bit after the bye......did we win after it last year? I think we may have....or perhaps the year before?

Lynden just kicked a Filth goal.

How sad... :(

Don't worry mate, you'll be happy in a fortnight's time when Hannan sits on his head and kicks his fourth on the way to a 10 goal victory.

That would be great. I still have the Ricky Pettard missed mark in the goal square from 2010, flash into my head whenever i think of the Filth now!

#Freekicknorth.

North Melbourne has only lost the free kick count in 1 game for the whole year (19-20 against the Giants in round 2).

They have been given an absolute gift by the umpires for the entire year.

Collingwood had 39 scoring shots to  Brisbane's 19 so perhaps the 45 point win does not do justice to their dominance

Certainly wont be a walk in the park on QB. With luck they could start favourites !!

Should have been a 50 metre penalty prior to the call of play on.  Umpire was looking right at it as well.  Pathetic from the umpires.

Do they get paid to not see this kind of thing?

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
