We had no ruckman (and he was our second string)and lost the stoppages convincingly after that point.

We had no third on the bench for the second half.

CP played on one leg.

We lost because we had nothing left not through lack of effort or ability and also didn't dominate on the scoreboard early when we had all the play.

Great game by Oliver, Hibberd, Hunt and Trac on one leg, others ok in part but thought across the game those four were immense.

Agree with all of that, red.  We had nothing left to give and with Nankervis able to get first hand on the ball it meant they held sway when they needed to.  We could do little about it.

Failed to adjust... Thats the coach

I'd like to see you adjust when your ruckman goes down, again, and another is sent to hospital with broken ribs.  Not to mention Petracca on one leg.  Silly comment.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Three weeks in a row.

The good teams find ways to win. We cant/wont.

But god damn Hunt is a player. And Clarry. Hibbo went alright too. Thats something... I guess.

Injuries are killing us, was always going to be hard to run out the game though that doesn't excuse a fade out like that, again it's three fantastic quarters where we don't get value for our dominance and the opposition gets on a run and goes over the top of us

Most unlucky 2-3 side ever I would say. One quarter aside against Fremantle, we have looked very good. 2 games we have lost a ruckman for 3 quarters.

But at the end of the day, we are 2-3, missing some key players, and in big trouble f letting this season get away from us.

I am pretty clear regardless of wins at end of year it is obvious we have not regressed.

What you suggest is irrelevant if we dont climb the ladder !

So, coach, what should we have done to adjust?  Keep in mind we're two men down, one of which means our second tall forward needs to play in the ruck which leaves us with one tall target to kick to.  Their ruckman is far taller which allows him first hand on the ball.  Go.

Anyone proud of that rubbish is following the wrong side

Hope you are prepared for another loss next week because it almost guaranteed

Finals this years is out of the question. Good teams find a way to win regardless. We rarely find a way

Richmond are [censored] and they still beat us. Top 5 pick here we come.

Agree.  Think we are building something.  Gotta keep at it.  We are not losing by 10 goals, only a handful of points.  I remember other teams that 'clicked'...hope that is in our near term future.

Petracca is not the messiah, I am siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick to death of people vaunting his 'coming of age' - on this forum, for eff's sake stop it. he may jag 3-4 goals twice a year , aside from that he will spot up 5 players a game - he's a good player, will be a very good one, he aint no selwood, and he aint no hanneberry.   *****happily proven wrong.

He will be very serviceable - and an enigma...

Gutted for Jake.  Spends the whole year last year giving the VFL side a ride waiting for his go, hardly gets so much as a scratch.  Finally gets his chance, second week in, injured.  There is no justice sometimes.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
