Any news yet on how long Smith is out with Shoulder?A great debut and can play.

I have dislocated both when playing in excatly the same way ie Opponent on my back riding me into hard turf

On both occasions I only missed two games

I hope he doesn't require surgery ! He is  a great tackler and very cool under pressure want him back asap .

Spoke to one if Joel's best mates this morning and he told him he will be out for 8-10 weeks

Rubbish. If Kent or even Tyson are fit, they'll come in.

No your wrong it would set a bad example dropping him, to drop someone after their best game ever,  they won't rush Kent,  and Tyson plays different position.

That is fantastic news for Reiwoldt!

I saw the incident with Smith, and there doesn't seem much malice in the intent. It looks like a single motion.

I can't stand Reiwoldt, but anyone who thinks him falling onto Smith and dislocating his shoulder was deliberate has rocks in their head.

Hmmm so he will have surgery must have done a lot of damage

Its a shame really liked what I saw on Saturday he fitted into the side really well. Hope he is back sooner rather than later

Based on what Goodwin said, he'd miss 10-12 weeks if it was just a dislocation without ligament damage. Surgery means that there is ligament damage, and it would be season ending for Smith. 8-10 weeks would be the best case scenario.

I've paid for their useless app and there's no replay. My brother has access to it, but noy me. God telstra are useless.

Sorry to hear that. Foxtel is probably the only option now which is how they want it i guess. Offer other options but make them nigh on useless

One other thing I noticed about the game yesterday was our willingness to kick on the opposite foot when it was required.  I know it was a focus over summer, but it was great to see our players use it so well.  Mitch Hannan was a prime example - his kick forward on his non preferred early in the game meant that Garlett had the space to run on and kick the goal, rather than trying to go back on to his left and potentially missing that chance.  That was just one example but there were others during the game as well.

It just adds an extra element to our game that, already, is paying some dividends.

Hannan also snapped one with his left & one with his right (and both were great snaps) as well as some very good short passes with either foot.

What I liked is that he's reliable - you can count on him to do the right thing at the right time - and also has X-factor. Unusual combination.

Just as perplexing was the horrible marketing campaign by Dare to misspell their own name? Very strange...

Or is it? I don't drink the stuff but noticed the misspelling when I saw it at the service station the other day. It made me look at the message under it to see why it was incorrect.

Since then I have seen it on the StKilda jumper and recognised the spelling was wrong.

I have now seen it mentioned on this forum 3 times already. (Including its own thread)

After watching the replay, OMac was nowhere near as bad as I remember him being. Yes, he made a few bad blues, but he made some incredibly important spoils and looked ok at times. He'll get better. I'm willing to give him a bit more time.

Also, Clarry is god.

Watching replay also.  I think you are being kind.  I am seeing Cale M moments.

Just watching AFL360 and Richardson was quite generous with his praise on Melbourne. Background vision after the game and Jordan Lewis appeared. Looks so much better in a Dee's jumper than a Dork's.

Surely Riewoldt got the two votes from Richardson.  No way he was in the best 5 players n the ground.

Not even with 4 goals in a losing side?

Watch the replay. Vince was terrific.

I did. At 2.15am on Sunday morning mind you, but I watched it nevertheless.

His kick outs were terrific. But his field kicking at times still leaves a bit to be desired.

And I maintain, there's no way Vince was better than Jones on the day. IMO, it was the best/most complete/most disciplined game Jones has played for the club. Vince has played far better games.

OK so each coach does 5,4,3,2,1

That mean Oliver got 5 and 4

So Goody 5, Richo 4 taken care of

Also means that Gawn or Vince got 5 from one of the coach as someone had to - so Richo gave Vince 5 and Goody gave him donuts

At the same time Riewoldt got 2 from Richo cause he certainly didn't get a vote from goody so I will add that to Richo's

Goody:
5 Oliver
4
3
2
1

Richo:
5 Vince
4 Oliver
3
2 Riewoldt
1

To get Gawn to 5 he needs a 4 and 1 as 2 from Richo is not available:

Goody:
5 Oliver
4 Gawn

2
1

Richo:
5 Vince
4 Oliver

2 Riewoldt
1 Gawn

Then Lewis tops 4, so odds are it's a 3 and a 1

Goody:
5 Oliver
4 Gawn

2
1 Lewis

Richo:
5 Vince
4 Oliver
3 Lewis
2 Riewoldt
1 Gawn

Leaving the rest self-explanatory:

5.   OLIVER

4.   GAWN

3.   JONES

2.   GAWN

1.   LEWIS

5.  VINCE

4.  OLIVER

3.  LEWIS

2.  RIEWOLDT

1.  GAWN

Did Vince run over your dog, A F? You're on the hunt lately.

Did you not see some of Lewis' turnovers?

Everyone made mistakes in the heat of round 1.

Vince was outstanding.

Knew it.    Richardson gave the two charity votes to Riewoldt who wasnt even in the best 8 players on the ground.

Unprofessional and very very biased.

You have Gawn in there twice in your Goodwin votes. Think the second one (for 2 points) is meant to be Hogan?

Thanks for the breakdown.
