To be fair to the club and its staff lots of info goes to members directly from the AFL.   Clubs hand over their member contact details and the AFL use it as it sees fit.  eg The Draft Order article, Finals Tickets package.  Check other club websites and they have the same general info and articles.

The problem is the other contending clubs made the finals so their members appreciate the early advice.  We on the other hand ...

I think we need to cut the club some slack on communications to members and what gets dumped onto our website.  It is usually outside their control.

That's not how the sites work

AFL Media publishes a gazillion articles and clubs choose to cross publish or not

Same with the 'finals are coming' send - MFC CHOSE to send it; other clubs still in contention did not

Was stoked to get my finals guide in the mail today, really topped off a great few days at work copping it flat out from anyone and everyone. It's almost funny, I stress almost.

My wife is a St Kilda member. Their communications are well in front of ours. She is constantly getting updates and info.  Meanwhile we pretty much haven't heard anything meaningful all year, especially the last few days when the club needed to step up.  I'm still shocked we haven't heard from Goodwin.

Well guess what i received in the mail today?  My household's ability to buy final tickets should Melbourne make it.  Please MFC.  I will always support you whether I am disappointed or not but seriously could someone not work out to hold off any mailing until after we are  guaranteed a finals spot.  The amount of money wasted for this mailing would be substantial and if they really wanted to spend money, they could have given all members a rebate on membership.  To quote from the booklet

"This is as much your moment as it is ours.  Months of hard work have brought us to this point and we now need your support more than ever."

The only moment I have had is the overwhelming feeling to vomit as I watched WCE try their best to make finals and deliver.  If I do vomit, I will be sure to share it with the club.

As my sign-in name says - Maybe Next Year.

Im livid  i got the finals info booklet today ,

obviously we jumped the gun , a disgrace really

and more so the guarantee of finals tickets as a trident member would have been null and void as the window to log on and use my members code was yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe email it out last week you fools ( play it cool with if we are part of september here is what we need to do  ) Im embarrassed by this what the hell are they doing.

I'll mail you mine. Do you want my leftover Chinese food too? It'd be easy to send in the same putrid pile of junkmail.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
