If we can get 47, trade 29, 57, 68 and 47 to GWS for pick 15 (more points)

Unsure if this approach is still allowed, correct me if I'm wrong but GWS can no longer load up on picks for points.

They can only go to the draft with as many picks as they have positions on the list?

Also on topic, wish Dunn all the best and hope to see him get some valuable time in the seniors in the future even if it's for Collingwood. He's been great for the club and even more so in his role at Casey marshalling the troops.

Lynden, always loved your booming torps and respected you for your impeccable behaviour looking after the kids at club functions. My boy is also a fan. You'll be missed and I hope you get some good footy in at the pies.

Don't play frisbee with Howey.

If true I am happy for Lynden.

He is obviously not part of the present MFC game plan and he deserves a chance elsewhere. (Just wish it was somewhere other than Collingwood !!!)

bummer i liked dunny was a fav :(

Yep, I like Dunn. Disappointed he couldn't have been a one club player with us because his attitude towards this club was terrific, but I'm pleased he gets another chance.

Seems like a lifetime ago he was drafted with Bate, I've always been a fan.  Takes a certain man to sport a dirty mo like he did.

Will hate seeing him in black and white.

47 for Dunn and 57 would be our best outcome I think

But agree more likely 65 or even 83.

Brisbane have nothing between 22 and 78 to offer for Frost.  We might end up with that 78.

I'd rather trade Dunn and a second or third round pick to Brissie for Rockcliff and pick 78 (and keep Frost)!

GWS can only go into the draft with the same number of picks as vacant spaces on their list, which is why clubs struggle doing those deals this year.

Could disguise a deliberate paddle out bounds from 30m inside the boundary line better than anyone.

Loved the mongrel, loved the mo (before it was cool) and the loyalty. Thanks Dunny

Random fact: he was the first player who decided to sign a new contract with the Dee's when he could have left as a FA

Also first player to kick a supergoal?

And I think poorly treated.

Sick of hearing this, how was he poorly treated?

Still waiting for an answer from another poster as to how Roo's treated Grimes poorly.

Fox footy reporting we may pay part of his salary. On $300k+, and collingwood can't fit it in

I was just thinking how good it would be to get him off our books and renegotiate some other players contracts to front load them a bit more.

We would want their third round pick if we are paying part of his salary.

Collingwood are shedding the contracts of Swan,  Cloke, Brown, Frost and Marsh, yet can't afford to pay Dunn under their cap? Makes the Wells and Mayne deals look more absurd by the day.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
