Inclined to agree.

Listening to 3AW tonight talk a leak that Selwood was captain. May be a rumour though, Lloyd was going with it.

Great to see Max get in - a great result and well earned.

I am a huge Pendlebury fan, and think he is an absolute gun. Vision, time, skills. But he did not deserve a place in the 40 this year. He had a good season, but many othrrs should be ahead of him.

Not that we were expecting anything different but congratulations Maxy! BIG part of why we were improved this year, his synergy with Tyson, Viney, and Jones was a joy to watch.

If Tyson continues his form from the second half on 2016 he could be up there for AA consideration next year, particularly if he and Maxy continue to work so well together.

Very well deserved Max! #fearthebeard

wow, Toby Greene.

No doubt he had a solid year, but if you watch GWS play he is the most selfish player in the comp.  Burns teammates multiple times a game.  I can see him costing them a final with his selfishness.

Also it wouldnt be an AA team without multiple Richmond, Bulldogs and West Coast players.

Even if all three teams finished in the bottom 4 they would still get multiple AA's.  Im convinced they pay off the selectors.

Just a fantastic effort by Max to stamp his  work on the competition so quickly.

He called it, he made it.

Awesome stuff and such a key component to our premiership hopes.

Go Dee's.

A rather enigmatic smile on the big man also ( and IMHO the whole scene spoils by the bloke on the right)!

I know every year there's a massive bit of whinging about 'how did so and so get in / miss out' etc, but Toby Greene? Decent year but is selfish and does a lot of his stuff in junk time.

Enright over Docherty/Simpson is a bit ordinary too. That's a reputation pick rather than based on performances this year.

Don't reckon Selwood has been as good either and think Pendlebury is very stiff to miss out.

Anyways, congrats Big Maxy. The most deserving pick of the lot.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
