Hawks looking good here early against North. Let's hope they can really put them away today and even up our percentage.

EDIT and now another 26-0

Norf getting a touch up. Nice. Nicer if it wasn't Hawthorn.

We do play that ground fairly well so I don't think the boys will to afraid of it so to speak.

No excuses tonight we r playing for a potential finals spot.

A goal to Norf - that's upsetting.

Dribble goal by Bruest - wow.

There's never been a time where I didn't want North to lose, but this is beautiful and great for us.

Not only did we beat Hawthorn, we made them angry enough to make sure they won't lose this week!

Makes the Bombers, Roos and Eagles losses pretty important. We played the Roos at full strength, at a ground we had never seen before and they got 7 goals from frees, we lost by less than a kick, similar with the Eagles and we played a shocker against the Bombers.

We could have been in the 8, fighting to keep our place tonight.

It's a pity we cant actually put 3rd generation politicians in a pork barrel.

I think we should get it passed as law.

Beazley,Downer, and i would say Crean although I liked him learnt to ride the gravy train as a god given rite.

For those of you who may be still worried about our prospects, fear not.

Melbourne are undefeated under lights this year (3-0)*

*disclaimer, Rd 7 win at metric on started at 4.40pm, but we won't the second half under lights by 11 goals

QUIZ TIME: If you could choose one of two options, which would you choose:

a. Melb make finals, but Hawthorn win premiership

or

b. Melb don't make finals, Hawthorn don't win premeirship

Reason I ask: I keep finding myself barracking for the Kangas today by default, and realising what i'm doing. I think i HATE hawthorn more than i LOVE Melbourne. Oops :/ Damn 4pete.

I've kept off the booze so far but night games are a deadly trap. I've missed many a second half due to being [censored]!

I liked Crean as well but I share your sentiment Biffen.

5 seasons of wanting Hawthorn to lose every game builds up a mighty habit. Hard to just switch to Hawthorn supporting mode so easily.

Well it's over now, 33 points. Few more goals will be nice.

3% reduction on North.  Another 3% each against the Swans and GWS brings them down to 102.5%.

Our % now is 102.58.

We just have to keep winning, a good win against the Blues would be handy though.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
