It's all set up perfectly for us, as long as we can get the 3 wins..... The remaining Norf opponents will still be relying on a good percentage to pick up their best final ladder position. They'll both be trying to towel the Roos up big time.

as I have been saying in other posts that essendon and the west coast losses will come back to bite us. But yes you wouldn't have wanted to play Hawthorn this week, I think Clarko would have got them going.

But it would be nice to see the saints beat sydney just to put the extra pressure on nth and be only 1 game behind. Obviously I'd love to see us sneak in but it would be funny to see nth drop out whoever replaces them. Brad looked a shattered man on the news tonight.

Wow can't believe brisbane beat carlton. But happy for Leppa, not sure it will save him though.

Don't want St Kilda to win. They've got Richmond and Brisbane to play and are a game clear of us so they'd make the 8 then regardless if we won all 3 remaining games. We need Saints and North to lose and we need to win it all!

Geary a late out helps.

interesting listening to howe post-match on abc - he still hankers to play forward.

he's a natural defender, i don't know why he's got such a bee in his bonnet around playing closer to goal.

Glory hunter.

So the Hawks beat Roo's by 39, so is the difference we now need to make now approximately 100 points?

Yep, exactly.

North's percentage dropped from 113 to 108.5. Leaving the gap to us (102.5) at just 6 percentage points. So, for shorthand, a neat 100 points worth of for/against difference will do the job.

With 2 more losses for them and 3 wins for us, average margins of just 20 points per game will sort out percentage.

Basically, it's just the wins to think about now.

That was an incredible finish to the West Coast game. Never thought in a million years West Coast could get up with such little time left after GWS got that goal.

Yet I had a feeling, with 8 seconds left, West Coast would score an incredible goal from that throw in. Fantastic to see the Franchise Concessions Giants lose.

Hell of a finish to that game. Makes me wish even more that we had taken our opportunities against the Eagles over there a few weeks ago.

Sensational coverage by Fox Footy. We get every stupid stat and theory rammed down our throat every game. Today, Nic Nat kicks a goal from the ruck, on the siren, to win the game and they don't show it again, but interview him and then leave the game.

Fantastic TV. They should do the olympics and stop the coverage, when each event is at the half way mark.

that last quarter was almost 40 minutes. So should that wc palyer be suspened for that sling tackle? Isn't that why the rule was bought in to stop a concussion. That was a sling tackle for sure.

Anyway everyone will rave about Nic Nat and his game winning performance. I don't care. Give me Maxy anyday.

Thought the same thing RL. Such a fantastic finish to the game and it was almost a non-event. Really disappointing coverage.

It was really odd - but I think because the game went so far over in terms of time (40 minute quarter) they had no time to recap before the Swans game.

It probably screwed their schedule because of the long last quarter, bit out of Fox's control.

Tonight unfortunately St Kilda are taking it up to Sydney. I don't rate them at all but they will have earned their spot in the finals over us if they can win the next 3 games against all odds.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
