Stuie, see Brayshaw gettig caught there? Not fitness, game sense.

See also how we ran that quarter out better than them? Not fitness, work ethic and confidence.

Our opponent is worse than us. The game is there if we want it.

Yeah, Brayshaw shouldn't be playing, he's underdone, get it? Fitness is vital at Etihad.

We didn't run it out better, we started actually kicking which helped, they still outran us every single time.

They are worse than us, I don't rate the Saints very much, we should beat them easily, that's why the lack of fresh legs bothers me so much.

McDonald's fault. He handballs to a guy with three Saints players behind him. Zero talk from McDonald.

For a start, the ball should never have been back there but if McDonald actually got back behind the mark quickly he would have had time and space to execute proper kick.

IS the skipper playing today? Where the Farrk is our leadership. Disgraceful

Time to step aside I think. 2 disposals that quarter is poor.

How has Brayshaw played this game (apart from being run down twice in the time I've been listening). I was very surprised he came straight in given the fact we rushed him in earlier in the year.

C'mon Dees, this is it. This is the moment we send the Saints packing!

For a supposed 'leader' that was a horrible decision from Tom McDonald.  Should have held on to the ball or just switched to the free player.  Instead he handpasses to Brayshaw who had no one around him to tell him he was hot and it almost cost us a goal.  Absolutely terrible decision.

We are still in it though.  I don't know how, but we are.  If not for Riewoldt's finger it would be under a goal.

Can we do it?

True, but Brayshaw had enough time and a clear option to release but didn't take it.

No there's not plenty of run, we've just been kicking more. We're still getting clearly beaten on the run.

Why would there be tiredness right at the start? As I said earlier, it kicked in gradually and we've just gotten slower and slower.

The fact we were out tackled in the first is indicative of our work ethic and mindset, given it wasn't fitness.

Viney leadership, need a better defensive alternative. Should have shut it down, lucky not to be over more down

Seriously we had to get the ball forward. If that goal was kicked it it would have flattened us and undo all our good work.

Interesting on mmm Goodwin said about Brayshaw earlier in the season he was told to lose some weight as he put some on. they went though his diet and found out he was on the soft drink.

Dumb decision by N Jones to go backwards then. His second touch of the quarter and that happens.

The skipper is playing with a bad knee...give it a break guys.

Known by all opposition clubs, supporters and serious Demons as one of the gutsiest leaders in the game.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
