Not for the first time this season, the team is facing a crossroads game against a side that it has struggled against in the past but a win would move it up in everyone's estimation as well as ladder position.

This is a test that we need to pass. It's away from home and the weather is looking inhospitable.

I was reminded yesterday by a Bulldogs fan that his team was in a similar place last year when it went up north and had to play the Swans on a rain drenched SCG. They won and the game was a turning point for them. With the advantage of added self-belief knowing they were capable of beating good sides, the Doggies went on to win 14 games and make the finals.

Can we make history repeat itself in the same vein today?

You wet the bed Jack?

Go dees.

Swans by 6 goals or so i think. Time we rolled another big name though, so its anyones guess.

Get around them, Gawn and Viney to show why they are the number 1 combination in the league and Hogan to prove he is worth a 10 year contract

Buddy is due a bag against us. If its not too wet this will be the game.

For us to win we need to spread the swans defence, get it long and quickly down to Hogan.

If we stuff around with handballing add we normally do they will kill us.

I think we lose by 30.

We still play dumb football at times and a team like the swans will punish us.  The pies couldn't. They will.

Geez it would be nice for the boys to have a win that is our " turning point" for the season rather than just keep hoping it will happen.

Comeon Dee's it's our time now.

Would be a huge win for us, massive in fact.

Even with the Swannies outs, they are a completely different team at home and I think will win comfortably. I want to see 4 quarters of tough footy. We can do it, its just whether we want to or not. Heads up after the game.

Going to the game today and looking forward to seeing a competitive effort. Dee's by 13 in a close one

Its not raining up here yet.

I expect wwe'll lose but i expect we'll  put up a contest, a bit like the hawthorn game.

Maybe I'm a fool but I'm not concerned about Buddy. He is a big flanker. Plays small for a tall bloke. Which suits our defensive style. I would be more worried about a Tippet.

This game is won or lost in the mid field anyway. As it is most weeks for us.

If it's raining or wet for the love of god kick the bloody pill off the ground.

No need to worry about kicking in danger cause that rule doesn't exist anymore.

You're more likely to get given a free for the other player "sliding below the knees".

Im expecting a result today similar to the Hawks game a couple of weeks ago.....competitive but unable to find a way to win

Out of curiosity, when was the last time we got a win against them up in Sydney?

Normally can't wait for the game no matter who or where we're playing but for some reason just not feeling it for this one. Hopefully it's a closer game than what I think it's going to be.

If wet, I would like to see smarter wet weather play from us. I hope we learned something from the Hawks the other week.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
