They dropped Cloke , good .

Kennedy to replace Garlett and would consider throwing Hunt forward for some tackling pressure also if it fits

Viney named in the 25!

Miracle recovery?  Maybe that is why he didn't try the tribunal out risking 2, knowing he was a possibility to return after 1?

I'd rather him play. Their forward line has worked much better with him out. Although that's also been with Moore in.

I get what you're saying Ted, but let's be honest - there was every chance that Cloke, who has been smashed from pillar to post all season, was a rather large chance to come out and kick a bag of goals.  It only ever happens to us.

Just now, Watts the matter said:

Is one of those the Gibson contest? I thought that was the worst, refused to take any body contact.

I think it was Gibson competing with Hogan in the 1st qtr.  Wasn't watching their players too closely.

Jeff is starting to look a bit 'too individual' in that he doesn't support or look for team mates for support, at least that is how it looked to me last week.

I think that individual vs team is one thing that has been a non-negotiable since the day Roos arrived.

Jeff will get the message and be a better player for it.

Big call here

Dawes will have an undeniably better game than Cloke!

One would certainly hope so ?

Not sure that necessarily  follows.

what if Dawes drops one in the goal square with 5 seconds to go and we are 5 points behind.

Cloke will not cost them the game Dawes might.

NEW Melbourne is in a position to pick a side based on form.  Casey is firing... we have others who can step up.

Even 'HE WHO MUST NOT MOVE WEST' would be dropped if he didin't follow team orders (maybe?)

I like it.... but if we lose .... I will attribute the loss to it .....indignantly!

Harmes still in but Jeff out... Lolololololololol

Kent still in but Jeff out... Lolololololololol

Three have to come out yet G

Are you suggesting Garlett has been better than them the last three weeks?

certainly not from my seat. Admittedly  it is like picking the worst of the worst but JG wins for me.

Oh dear. Sam Frost named at FP. Please no

Wouldn't sweat it Lad - the MFC website has an article today with him singing his praises as a defender. Just took the club 10 weeks longer than us here to see that's where he should be played

Let's see if he can go back and get it 30 times and snag 3 goals at Casey.

It'll be interesting to see how he goes actually. Not known for putting body on the line so it might take him more than one Casey game to warrant a return to the firsts.

Garlett out over Kent and Harmes is just bloody stupid.

What's the argument? He had a down couple of weeks? How many have Kent and Harmes had?

We better win this. The selections this season continue to annoy me.

Who would have thought at the start of the year, we might see the two ex captains playing together again.

All we need now is for Brayshaw and Petracca to appear on the ground together.

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention.
