Going to be a cracker.

Salem and Lumumba are the obvious ins - who out?

Michie and...Stretch? I would rather the latter than Lumumba - would be happy to just Salem for Michie, and Michie was fine too.

Stringer does not look happy with a massive bandage on his thigh now; copped a big corky.

Agree - looked tentative, but provided a good contest and grew in confidence.

Salem in. I would drop Bugg.

We don't need lamumba and his mistakes. The above is probably all. Garland ?

I would prefer Lumumba not to be there either, but the coaches seem to like to have him in the side.

Stringer is going to be a tough match up and Macrae, Libba, Wallis and the Bont are beasts in the midfield.

It's going to be a ripper. At the G!!

I must say, I'm inclined to give players more than a week especially when they make a contribution to the result. I reckon give Michie another week, let him consolidate. Petracca made a big leap from week one and really showed what is ahead. Loved the joy after the goals. I want to see that smile again. All of Hunt, Wagner and Harmes deserve to stay. No question. It's a tough ask to force your way into this team. Long May we have this problem !!!!!!!!

Why change anything?  That was an epic win.  We obviously have a good mix.  Leave the team alone and let them earn their spots back if and when someone plays their way out of the firsts.

Every week people are recommending we drop Bugg. What is with that?

The only people who want Bugg dropped are trolls or supporters who don't understand the game.  He is an important part of our 22.

Back on the G next week. Important considering Footscray have played 7 straight under the roof at Telstra Dome.

Lumumba no obvious in. Salem needs Casey more than MFC needs Salem ATM. A lot of talent and not a lot of results.

Not.    Sure.    If.    Serious.

Potential outs: Garland, Kennedy, Kent, Michie, Stretch

Potential ins: Frost (only as a defender), Salem, ANB, Trengove

Stretch keeps his spot I reckon. Michie and Garland the only likely outs. Doubt they'll want to change things too much in defence. We haven't had a lot of stability back there. A few players yoyoing in and out of the side.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
