I shall hunt picket fence down and give him a jolly good flogging,

It has finally happened. This is why I have been apprehensive when opening this thread.

Are you planning on instagraming it if it happens?

I reckon we'll roll North....

If you count losing by less than ten goals as rolling them I agree. Me I'll take a loss by less than 5 goals as a win.

If we beat North I will ...

be AMAZED.

North play fast footy with good footskills and accountable footy. They apply pressure and create turnovers. Player for player they are not better. But their style and skills are better... with no passengers.

You sure about that?  I'm pretty sure their personnel are a fair way better than ours across the board.

We haven't beaten norf for 10 years, seriously, think of where you were at ten years back. Boggles the mind. We won't win but if we did I would be bloody speechless..

Forecast is a wet and cold 17 degrees day. Interesting to see if and how this impacts the result.

Yep. Not going to happen.

Is this one of those reverse pschology question? If we lose we should leave the side in Tasmania for ever. If we win I wouldn't get my hopes up as the Dees are known for their consistent disappointments.

Sounds odd but I would be a little worried if we win, worried in the sense that we would obviously still be so far from a consistent side that any sort of sustained success is further from our grasp than I thought it was. I would be happy to be proved wrong and have them come out with the same effort it will take to beat the roos in the following rounds but we all know how unlikely that is.

Also if we win i will expect to lose next week as we are incapable of winning 2 games in a row, unless it's a meaningless NAB game.

I will believe and know that we have improved a great deal. Lots of eyes and pressure in the media on poor hogan. I think he will bounce back and kick a bag.go dees.

Pick up my first division Tattslotto win, because IMO, they are the same odds of happening.

And treat your fellow Demonlanders to a Demonland convention in Waikiki with a portion of your winnings, Mr Leg?

It is the only area in which we are consistent.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
