We can bank the 4 pts but should have really been well beaten today. They kicked themselves out of it.

Nonetheless, what a fantastic win. Really liked the tackling pressure, especially in the 1st and 4th quarters.

If we can sort out the end to end transition (both defending and attacking) we'll be a hard side to play against this year. Loved Oliver, he's going to be some player. Jack Viney BOG by some margin.

Best on? Injuries? What's wrong with Hogan and his 3 goals? How was Oliver? When should I buy finals tickets?

Help a sister with third world internet out!

Best on is probably Viney, was az machine today, but honourable mentions to gawn dominating in the ruck and a fantastic opening game to Oliver.....

Hogan was very well held for the first 3 quarters. but the last quarter he finally found some room and drove us to a win.

get excited by oliver!!!!

give it another couple of weeks before you get finals tickets.....

Viney.

OMac ankle. On crutches at end of game.

Hogan slept through the first half. Moved on to the ball in 3rd. Forward again in the last and came alive. Bloody star.

Oliver 17 touches in the first half, 1 in the second. Faded but very bloody exciting.

I'd wait a bit for the tix.

Jack Watts, follow this up week in and out! Best game for him yet!!

Kennedy! Wow 2nd efforts and pressure!

Gawn gave our mids great first options! Smashed them in the guts!

Oliver..... The ginger is a freak!

Viney is the hard center in the mids. just keeps moving the ball forward with intent!

Tom McDonald! rebounding intercept marking!

Great effort and endeavor! Showing us what we can do if we keep at it and don't give up!!!

GO DEES!

A Watts-lead come from behind victory against a good team. Not too shabby!

Like: Viney, Watts, Oliver, TMac. The belief.

Dislike: Tyson's, Frost's, OMac and Bugg's kicking.

Interesting that we only used 80 out of a possible 90 interchanges. Thought we looked spent at 3/4 time. Amazing the energy lift when we got a few goals and hit the front.

Watts has clicked.

You knew we'd win when VDB's kick dug a trench on its way through for a goal.

Tyson will lose his spot this year if he keeps this rubbish up.

Very happy with Kennedy. Even more happy with GWS goal kicking and Steve Johnson's selfishness.

Oliver! Oliver!

Bit harsh on Frost. He was great in his pressure and efforts. And his tackle that should have had the GWS player holding the ball was a ripper. The umpires were utter Sh!te.

I think we underestimate the quality of GWS..

Great comeback & never say die attitude hopefully beginning with similar positions in practice games..

Cant ask for anymore than that .. Sure some poor periods but remember great sides find a way to win!

I'm being picky but young Oliver had 5 possies in the second half. A great first up game.

If every week is like this game I think I might have a hart attack by the end of the season.

Good win!!

Don't like his kicking SYL. I can see why they play him though. Speed and height.

2 interesting stats

1. Clayton Oliver had 15 contested touches, record for a first gamer is a tie between Jack Viney and Ollie Wines on 16

2. Jack watts had 100% disposal efficiency 4 score involvements and a goal in the last quarter

I thought the whole side was terrible with their disposal. I thought that there were more positives than negatives. We are still unable to hit targets when we are on the burst. Oliver was great, I think Petracca will be  a huge bonus when he comes in. Tommy Mac got better as the game went on. Lots to like.

My prediction for the new interchange cap was that teams will find it hard to come from behind in the last quarter.

I'm 0-2.

And only 51% game time apparently, which the bulk of must have been in the first half. Very impressive.

Viney, Kennedy, Watts, Maxey, T-Mac up there. No Major Issues on the bench. For his first game Oliver was fanbloodytastic. Put one or 2 seniors to shame (Tyson.... ughh). Not finals worthy...yet. Check In again about Rnd 6 !

Saved him for the last quarter

I really wish our key forwards would lead harder at the ball carrier and demand the footy instead of hanging out in front of goals for the big pack mark. Very frustrating, Hogan would kick bags of goals if he would just lead out of the goal square a bit more.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
