The news all over the Twitterverse is that Jesse Hogan (not to be confused with our Jesse the key forward) has suffered a stroke.

He is also an avid Demon fan and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Poor guy is only relatively young. Hopefully he can make a recovery. Best of luck.

A few wins for the dees throughout the year will put a smile on his face during recovery and rehab.

Many wishes for speedy recovery.

BTW, the title of this thread shows how to do it so as not to cause heart attacks among Demonland faithful. Well played, sir, well played.

That is terrible news, love Hogan's pieces and he seems like a genuinely good guy. He is also very active and always keen for a chat on twitter.

Wishing him a very speedy recovery.

A reminder of the fragility of life and why our presence on this planet is so precious. So important to enjoy each day and be aware of our own mortality and of our fellow human beings. Our sympathy to others is important as ultimately we are all connected.  Life is fragile, handle with care.

I get exactly those symptoms whenever I have a migraine.

I have been getting those symptoms every season.

Really wish Jesse a complete recovery - all the best to him.

yes, for a demons supporter, the pics should read "round 1", then "round 2" then "round 3"

Has anyone heard any news on Jesse's progress?

Someone posted on Twitter a couple of days ago that there had been some slight improvement but to what extent, I don't know. I hope he wakes up to a win on or before the opening day of the season.

Yes, it revealed that he sat up and was awake for a "couple of hours".

Encouraging.

A quick update for those interested, I just spent the last 2 months in the Royal Talbot rehabilitation centre with Jesse as I had a stroke myself. Jesse is doing well and has just started to walk with the aid of a crutch. There is still plenty of rehab ahead for him but being the fine young man he is I have no doubt he will  meet any future challenges head on.

Go Blues!

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
