If he could seriously get himself mentally and physically right and prove that he has left his past behind i would absolutely jump at him..

One of the most naturally talented players i have ever seen.

Absolutely one of my favourite Demons ever when playing, a joy to watch... BUT he's 27 and just starting the initial process of getting back into footy, would be getting close to 30 when trying to get back into the league, and that's best case scenario. Time has run out you'd think.

No from me. I loved his brief but glorious stint with us but he went crazy. Really messed up crazy. We don't need that. We are a football club not a psych ward or a parole office.

There was an article that said he got out of prison in September this year, but didn't he play in a game with Davey and Aussie this year?

I'm not sure how I feel about a player who assaulted his partner playing in the AFL.

Don't confuse a comeback to playing footy with a comeback to AFL footy.  Good luck on the former  - might help fix him up.  The latter would be a miracle needing divine intervention.

Omg!

Liam, Prestia, O'Meara, Wines and Lobster for Xmas.

Mmmmm.......

You can guarantee the Lobster at my Xmas. Maybe a few Wines..

I hope he makes it work with the Redtails. He needs it and indigenous communities need to see it. More than anything, I hope the Redtails concept works.

I vaguely recall something similar when Peter Rohde (I think) was coaching the Bulldogs. every player had to have either a part-time job or be enrolled in study.

I don't want him at the club.

He bashes women. He is a scumbag.

NO!

Draft him now!

Kick the ball inside forward 50 and he will beat his opponent. FOOTY CAN BE THAT SIMPLE!! The better player wins the ball and kicks the goal.

Liam is that better player. Boy we had a poor midfield when he was playing yet he still kicked more goals than Hogan did in his first 20 games. Would kick 40+ this year without thinking about it - such is his talent. Apparently he is very 'prison fit' at the moment (skills/weights/no booze).

The excruciating pseudo professionalism of the AFL (rewarding GPS data and running patterns over the ability to influence games for example) means that he won't get another shot without being put through torturous non-footy hurdles. But if someone showed some belief in a genuine match winner he would be fine and train the house down I'm sure. Plant him in the F50, spot him up on leads (an old school Ablett Senior role) and he would bolt into AA as a 27 year old I believe. Even if his player ran off him a couple of times, it would be a net 4-5 goal/assists gain per game having him in the team.

Won't happen, but one can dream...

Easily the most exciting player I've seen in red and blue, with no disrespect to any others. But I honestly can't see it happening, not even in my wildest dreams anymore. He's finished at AFL level.

NO!

To keep it balanced, he does also bash blokes.

He doesn't discriminate by gender - I give him that much.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
