Still want to see Newton

Outs:

Lumumba - need his dash against the dogs, but pointless if he keeps handing them the footy.

Michie - too slow for the dogs

If VDB isn't ready then Newton

I'd like to see Newton get a run. Can't disagree with these outs.

I dont think we will see Vandenberg for a while. Apparently he couldn't put any pressure on his foot and had to be carted away. Not a good sign.

For me personally i think we will make the one change. Paul Roos isn't a big fan of making big changes after Casey getting beaten and with a 70 plus point loss to Box Hill there will be no big changes.

IN: Newton

OUT: Brayshaw (rested)

I think Lumumba is seriously under the pump runs into trouble and his disposal is terrible, unless he can break the lines and deliver it in quickly to Hogan and Dawes

errrr... he did that, you no watch game?

I asked on another thread - does anyone have any info at all on just what is wrong with VDB's foot?

Disappointing news if he is for a prolonged layoff.

Michie will be further exposed against the WB at Etihad. He is so slow and doesn't have any hurt factor. I watched Higgins start behind him at contests yesterday and comfortably get past him and run away from him with ease. He is not an AFL footballer.

One of the better games I've seen Viv play, but this is spot on.

Out - Michie

This stood out particularly in that stoppage in our defensive 50 in the last quarter, they started side by side, Higgins took off, picked a gap in the pack, left Michie for dead and gave off a handball to I think Nahas

for a cinch of a goal. Michie not getting goal side was crucial, despite playing OK these shortcoming will cost us big time against the quick ball movement of the Dogs next week so Viv has to go. Salem back for me, he's had a

couple of full games now at Casey, his silky skills will be welcome.

I reckon Garlett is one of those blokes that gets better the more he feels comfortable and valued. He is going to have the occasional stinker - second hardest spot to play on the ground is small forward.

Would love to see Salem back there for one of our inert players. Drop Lumumba if you like but don't expect that to be a panacea for our lack of backline run and dare.

Other than that it will be rubbish in and rubbish out unless vanders is good.

Agreed- Dunn is a fat , slow hack.

Really???? It's posts like this that remind me why I shouldn't read this absolute drivel. He has been very good.

Apart from denigrating a player, have a look at the game he plays. Oh, I forgot, Roos knows absolutely nothing about player value, that's why Dunn is Vice Captain.

Don't bother replying, you morons who bag our players, this will be the last time I visit this site.

Next time you look in the mirror, have the guts to ask yourself how many pre seasons you did. How many times you played a sport with injury. How many sprains, breaks and bruises you've had. How many times your body has been buffeted by blokes bigger than you, and what does Dunn do? Commit to the club.

Stop kidding yourselves that you know anything about the game let alone our players.

I may not be correct, but I thought that I detected a bit of tongue in cheek in Biffin's post. I certainly hope so.

Listening to Roos presser..

He thought Michie was good at times. Also got the feeling that Cross will go round again next year. Contract talks will start at the end of the year.

I really do like Cross, but when he gets the ball I just wish he would look forward more often instead of looking for the player running behind all the time.

Why drop ANB when he made an impact as sub? A courageous mark and a great goal. The kids too good to be at Casey

Yes, he made a big impact and probably deserves to stay as the sub..in my opinion we have too many kids/first year players out there, Hogan, Vandenberg, Angus, ANB, Harmes, Stretch....these guys can't be expected to beat seasoned Afl players. I am happy with Hogan, Angus and Vandenberg but I think anymore than three of these in the same team is exposing us.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
