I am relying on great commentary from those on Demonland today. I am in New York and have done my bit. Popped into the local church, lit a candle and put in a few requests. One was for a great win today and the other was for Dean Kent's hammy which I heard during the week from my source at Casey was not looking so good after scans early in the week.

Go Dees.

Look at the speed we moved the ball in 2006. Players went at the ball with real intent and look at the spirit that Daniher instilled in the team. Some of those things seem to be developing in the present team.

If we win today we will move up to 13th on the ladder, but will still be three wins outside the eight sadly.

14th actually, unless we belt the saints by a lot. This is a game we really need to win, we let the last one slip against them so the boys should be up for this one. We said at the start of this run of 3 games that we needed to be at least 2-1, we already dropped the essendon game.. To come out of this block of games 1-2 would be depressing. Saints are just as bad at the G as we are at etihad, if we don't win this game I'll be extremely pi$$ed off.

Well no - if we beat St. Kilda we go ahead of them anyway because that would give us 6 wins to their 5.

Haha my bad, not used to winning more than 4 games... Clearly can't add up

I was at that final in 2006. McLean played a blinder; particularly in the last quarter. The highlight was just before half time. Gehrig marked at about 50 m. He went back to take the kick. Carroll was on the mark. He (Gehrig) then played on. Got caught (holding the ball) and stuffed his knee in the tackle. Off for the rest of the match. Hahaha!! Happy memories. (Not much since.) I'm going today. Not at all confident. Go Dees!!!

Go Dees.

If that is the case finish his season immediately and get him ready for round 1, 2016

He is far too valuable to be stuffing around with for the sake of 6ish games at the back end of a season that holds no real meaning

Holy hell football really has gone backwards in recent years. I'd forgotten how good that was to watch.

The next year Daniher brought in that "run and carry" game plan and footy for me hasn't been the same since.

Go Dees.

In lieu of Bernie Vince, perhaps you could point your daughter in the direction of Dean Kent. Her hands could work magic on his hamstrings Sue.

Of course they played with intent.

That was an Elimination Final.

The next year they slipped to 14th with 5 wins.

Not so much intent or spirit then.

As for today.

They need to redeem themselves for last debacle and smash this mob.

Doing the "big" drive from Geelong to the MCG like i do every week. Hopefully our boys come out motivated from last time, but who knows.

I can cash out through sportsbet for my multi and snare $175, or i can wait and if the dees get up i snare $350. Haven't decided yet.

Considered catching a helicopter, Song?

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
