Pathitic.we are going backwards.this team just does not get it. Time for a clean out of a number of players and give the young kids a go cause clearly there are far too many emotional scares. Starting with Jack Watts.

Can't see how you are going to make a post worse than this. The only way for you is up!

Played plenty of kids this week, including 4 first year senior players.

Watts again showed what he can do.

Players who looked average where a few of the older players.

Stupid

We've played some pretty dumb football in the past two weeks. Find the culprits and sack them.

Won't be many left to take the field then. Today was riddled with errors and some dumb stuff. You have to forgive the newbies but the senior lot made some real clangers. But so to did the Saints. It was a good game to watch between two even sides but it did demonstrate where we both sit in the pecking order, well off the pace. But one thing to remember is we had 6 or 7 of our best 25 out while theSaints had one I think.

Paul Roos should have relayed the message earlier that if we get in front we flood back.

Don't need to wait until after it happens to do it.

Come on, it's basic coaching.

It's basic football. Every player at any level knows to get numbers behind the ball in that situation. Poor leadership.

We are not going backwards - that would be impossible. Lots to like with the new talent, lot to dislike about the same old NQRs.

not going backwards...we just ARE backwards

I agree get rid of him now that he is starting to show something.

Honestly I'm p177ed off as well but how about targeting those that deserve it.

ANB got to the contest a lot which was promising just didn't quite get the speed of the game, it will come.

Agree. Was reading the game well and putting himself into contests.

Can someone tell me what the hell does Riley add to this side? The guy is a massive spud and i have been calling it since last year.

If we are gonna go with grunt i would much rather Jordie Mckenzie..

Watts was strong today (like all of them, only for three quarters). Not the game to get stuck into Watts. This from a documented Watts sceptic.

Spot on.

The game should have be won, the fact it was lost is not because of Paul Roos, he didn't have time to relay a message, this is a dismal failure of the onfield leaders to read and react to the situation, for starters, gawn should have dropped the ball at his feet so we could lock it up in the middle, second all of the forwards but one should have built a wall across the backline making it impossible to get the ball in cleanly, thirdly someone should have been defensive side of the ball then to stop joey doing exactly what he did.

absolutely zero system in a critical moment of the game is embarrassing.

Lynden Dunn, Nathan Jones, Bernie Vince, Daniel Cross, should all be very dissapointed this was allowed to happen.

Positives though

Jesse Hogan... wow

Jack Viney seems to be building

Jimmy Toumpas, best game for the club by a mile, 8 tackles.

Well said. What the hell do these guys do all week. No point planning for what to do when being flogged. Spend some time developing systems for winning close games, especially with 40 seconds to go...

He's getting heavily tagged - needs to learn to play the outside role.

He tends to try and barge through....doesn't have the bulking build. Needs to release quicker.

The biggest problem I see with him at the moment is he looks to stall with every possession. His habit is to NEVER play on if he doesn't have to. It's enormously frustrating, and absolutely kills momentum. I just don't understand why he's doing it.

Toump played his part in that final goal as much as anyone, it's not on him, it's on all 18 players out there. Even more so on the so called leaders. Leadership is massive massive problem for us, has been ever since we got rid of Junior and to be honest it's probably been longer than that. But today it 100% cost us four points. Lumumba brought in from an apparent winning culture, Cross (normally good) very experienced and should know, Dunn 150 games and VC, Jones (love the guy) experienced enough; all failed in a critical moment.

Too many not up to AFL standard.

Too many kids not ready yet.

Too many injuries.

No depth.

Michie, Pig Dog, Grimesy all struggling.

Howe played.....bored.

Again, I must be watching a different game, but Grimesy didn't put a foot wrong tonight, and hasn't for the last month and a bit. I am absolutely baffled he was dropped last week.

I wouldn't go with either Riley or McKenzie. Viney, Brayshaw and Jones add enough grunt.

I'd go in with Michie before Riley, McKenzie, M.Jones or Bail.

Riley and McKenzie, they only add one paced grunt. Tend to give away a lot of silly frees.

We need more players like Angus Brayshaw, who add both grunt - and a sense of timing (can change the pace of their run).

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
