I got a few good laughs out of it... it's just standard comedy roast fare and all good harmless fun. Makes for a good break from the usual training regime which can't be a bad thing.

Funniest thing I've seen on footy for a long time. Good to break the routine for the boys. Let's just take it as it was meant to be received. Do we have to over analyse everything?

Think it was the late Dean Bailey that summed it up well one day by saying (impersonating the annoying voice of the man in question), "Hughesy, makes me wanna spewsy".

Can't stand Hughes, so it was never going to be a segment I raved about.

Hogan sitting in the back.

Confirmed signed with Freo.

As was Jones.... not leading from the front as any good captain should. Sack him!

I thought it was amusing. Was good to see the lads having a laugh and refreshing that the jokes weren't just focused on how rubbish we've been.

For what it's worth, he's a top bloke in person.

Actually I joked about that Hardtack, sat at the back from day one at the Club, same with Hogan, opposite with Tommy Mc always at the front

Not a big fan of Hughesy but that was very interesting.

Look at the problem he had - we stink and he was supposed to get some laughs at the players' expense.

So he said nothing about how we play and instead ripped into appearances and odd bits of behaviour - good line about Gawn - so I reckon it was cleverly crafted to avoid giving offence about what really matters, our performance as a footy club.

Should have kept it in house, where it belonged. I like good standup, but that was a Sportsman's Night.

He's going to do every club over the course of the season.

There was very little in there that was news to keen followers of the club, it's not like he divulged stories of our players breaking the law or up to huge antics like the glory days of sportsman nights.

We should be thankful we got some press by Hughesy doing ours first.

1.I refuse to watch the "Footy Show"

2. It amazes me that Hughes has a following. He is a remarkably unfunny comedian.

Yeah its school boy stuff...hughesy character can be annoying but there are a lot worse.... would you prefer Charlie Pickering instead?

Err .. well ... excuse my blissful ignorance but I have no clue who the said Charlie Pickering is. And ..PLEASE, since I have happily lived my life without knowing of this gentleman, do not bother informing me and thereby cluttering my already diminished grey matter with further useless information.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
