Yep sounds like the demons are playing hardball. Hope we stretch this pies thing out because they are to busy focusing on getting treloar so that will be there first priority. Hope they dont think we can knock out a quick trade. I wonder how much the pies are offering him, hope they arent stupid enough to pay him the 500k he thinks he's worth.

Travis Cloke said on radio today he bumped into howe and watts over in Bali. Not that that means anything. But the pies did put out this tweet. VIDEO: We’ve confirmed our interest in Jeremy Howe.

Oh well he will fit in down there with his tatts.

Well sad to see him go but Jeremy let me tell you you will not be a jack gunston type of player. Just dont take mark of the year on us.

Our whole plan could be based around getting Parish, and I think it still might happen which is also why we haven't finalised any trades as yet, we will find a way to get pick 3 using a three way trade which includes Collingwood and the Suns or direct trade with the Suns.

If we can end up with Kennedy ,Melksham ,Bugg and pick 3 for Parish that is a good bunch of mids to add to the list and therefore a successful trading period.

I feel that Prestia will come to us next year to complete our midfield brigade.

I'm also banking on Taylor to find a tall forward out of the box with one of our remaining picks, just as he found Vandenberg last year.

Hope we tell the Pies on no uncertain terms they aren't in the frame.

I would prefer Curnow. Parish only took 1 contested mark in 14 TAC games. I think what we lack is midfielders who are strong overhead.

I would say VDB, Brayshaw, Tyson, Petracca, Harmes, Vince are good overhead but you can never have enough good marks in the team.

I'm always hesitant of the small bodied midfielder early in the draft. Toumpas and Kelly opposed to Wines, Bontempelli and Stringer.

This year it's Parish and Curnow.

If you play to a structure you can.

I doubt Brad Hill has taken a contested mark in his career and Isaac Smith wouldn't have many more. They burn the wings for the hawks whilst the aerial work is left to the talls, bigger flankers and inside mids.

I agree. None of this year's top prospects seem to be potential stars outside of Weitering in my opinion. They all have glaring weaknesses.

Starting to wonder if we'll draft more than our first rounder to be honest. We'll surely upgrade VDC and Harmes with our last two picks.

The rest of our picks could just as easily go to Kennedy, Melksham, Bugg and Rosa.

Of what? It's just my opinion. But I've seen more than a 3 minute highlight package of the champs

Wowee Batman.

I'm sure data collection must drain you of the will to live because it's definitely got your sense of humour.

Binman made a funny, go back and read it, it actually made me lol.

Cheers

Go make yourself a nice margarita pal.

What happened to

What's the weakness with Francis? Could he become a big bodied mid?

None. He is a star. He has a better inside game than Goddard did at the same age, and he is isn't afraid to lay a tackle. I think the main thing that stands out about Francis is he is a great decision maker, and he reads the play exceptionally well. I couldn't have Parish ahead of him, I couldn't have him anywhere near him.

Mahoney indicated we'd be taking 3-5 picks in the draft. He said that there are some good players we can pick up with later picks but the best were in the top 10 (obviously, but I think he meant there was a big drop off).

What's the G.O. With the melksham and Bugg deals??

Reckon the Howe deal is almost certainly holding up proceedings and so it should. That is the deal likely to net us the best gain. We can do the Melksham and Bugg deals later.

Jamie Elliott is a fair swap, 72 games 100 goals vs 100 games and 80 goals with one year in defence and of course "elite" running and standards. I think I would rather force howe to Carlton then get screwed by either Collingwood or Essendon (Melksham). Or worse, listen to Bruce gush over the Elliott Howe magnificence on Friday night football - not bitter about pies perpetual easy draws

They won't give up Elliot though.

I actually think we need a Marc Murphy type, regardless of everyone's apparent dislike of the player!

Prestia? ;)

On principle I would let Howe screw himself in the draft than let Collingwood screw us in a trade for him.

Get your sunscreen ready Howey boy, you're heading to the Goldie.

It'd set a strong precedent. I like it.

Judd was rubbish overhead. As long as whoever we pick up (I'm still not convinced we'll go to the draft with this pick) can win clearances, is strong in the contest and neat/damaging with their disposal, I'll be happy.

My mate who's involved in coaching at TAC level thinks all the talls worth selecting will be gone by pick 12 but there's some quality there up until about pick 30.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
