See my report on the injury in the training thread, mods can we close this thread can be covered inn the training thread, and it was his left knee not the right which he has supported with strapping

Or alternatively keep this thread open and not derail the training thread?

all things aside this is a particular topic whilst the training may cover a myriad of things before its inevitably derailed.

No it wasn't will put a report in the training thread, it happened right in front of me

Pull your head in mate. No need to shoot down someone else report just because it was what YOU saw.

Cheers for that mo64

Shhhh binman, that makes too much sense. He wants it closed so we can all read his report on the injury and ignore everything else.

There should be no reason why the training thread cannot be about training and this thread about Petracca's knee. Or do we want the training thread to be all about Petracca? There is also no need for some here to herd posters onto the training thread only to be told by the mods to keep on thread topic when the Petracca talk goes into wider discussion (which it will). Let it go Saty please.

Hopefully it is a hyper extension. I've hyper extended my knee once and I could barely walk.

Others say they have done an ACL and could walk

So without scans we are all just speculating.

the doctors would have a very good idea once in the rooms after doing the mobility tests. scans will confirm

And all we can do is keep our fingers crossed that it's only minor and won't keep him out for too long.

Just got home from training and can confirm the injury. Petracca knee buckled on landing from a marking contest. Was down for quite a few minutes in obvious pain. Some players came up to him with a consoling pat. He managed to limp to the boundary line where he was attended to. Did some short walks along the boundary with a limp, then proceeded to AAMI Park with a trainer/doctor with a more noticeable limp.

Petracca's knee and thigh were bandaged when I arrived at training, and he was on the sidelines. I was surprised when he got involved in all the training drills.

If you see a report from Mark Stevens regarding Petracca's injury, the diagnosis came from yours truly. He arrived with a cameraman just as Petracca was being attended to. He came up to me to ask what happened. We both agreed that it's too early to tell.

This is the second most disturbing thing reported in this thread.

WTF anyone would talk to Stevens has me stuffed. I'd love for him to come up and start a conversation with me...

Unfortunately scans today confirmed a rupture of the ACL in his left knee.

Christian Petracca will miss the 2015 season after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee at training on Monday.

Thanks for the report.

While Hogan is running around ragdolling people I'll say that God doesn't totally hate us. He just really does not like us very much.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
