Wow, you would be hoping GWS have some cap room, if not they are going to be raided. Half that top 10 belong to GWS!

If we have some cap room we surely can look at getting 1-2 players on that list.

Watch for the new AFL rule to stop it happening.

Top 10 out of contract targets

If you are already missing trade week, the Hun lists the top 10 out of contract players at the end of next season.

Cameron and Dangerfield are the genuine stars. Who else would you choose to help boost our midfield stocks?

Can someone please make this 10 into a dart-board & pin it up on the drafting trading wall, so we can keep a sly eye on it thru the 2015 season?

well we can always help them to jump up their payments at the very least.

One of the GWS boys is surely gettable. Treloar, Shiel or Smith would be ideal to add firepower to our midfield stocks.

I reckon we held off this trade period knowing whats in store at the end of next sason

We will probably have 2 million to splash around on that ridiculous load of talent coming out of contract

We may already have a player or 2 committed to us, who knows

But either way its imperative we rise up the ladder in 2015 so we can entice free agents

Another 4 or 5 win season and we are stuffed again

I can't see us getting Dangefield, Sloane or Steven as they are at the age where they want success immediately.

Cameron will get a massive million dollar deal with whoever he goes to.

I can see us going for any of Sheil, Treloar, Tomlinson or Smith as they are at the age where they might be willing to wait for a bit of success but we will have to pay massive overs for any of them, similar to a Boyd deal.

I can't believe Jones isn't in the top 10, easily the most underrated player in the AFL.

Adam Treloar set to follow Tom Boyd in returning to Melbourne next year

Yes please! Treloar only 21 and IMO will be in the best 5 mids in the comp by 25.

Considering the ages I would have had Treloar over Dangerfield and Kennedy this year. He is the quintessential modern day footballer. He is the only one I would have contemplated giving both picks 2 & 3 for

a lot of talent going to be on the market, and a lot of clubs are going to have to shed their own good players to make room if they want to pick up any of these young high priced targets, also a lot of players are going to be testing the market to see what they are now worth regardless of whether they are contracted or not.

Our most important target isn't on that list - Nathan Jones.

I'm sick of bleeding players out of this club.

Make a statement and re-sign Jones then move on to external targets.

his run would suit the Roosy gamestyle, busy all the time.

I like Shiel's point of difference, his power & fend-off & neatness with ball.

I think Shiel has a lot left in his armory to show yet. but would like to see more urgency.

we need more run, & we need more grunt coming away from the in/unders, punting the ball forward I'd like to see a combo of Viney & Shiel... pity about wines.

still need an aish but stretch comes to mind.

most of all they have to have the fierce drive to change the clubs culture, to really lift the values to elite.

Sign Jones and Garland, pinch Treloar and Shiel.

I would love to add Devon Smith to that, Smith, Treloar & Shiel, now that would be nice...

I agree, the club needs to sign him up before round 1. Entering and playing the season will be full of speculation.. Personally, if he bleeds red & blue he would be signed up before round 1.

We definitely do not want another Frawley situation.

i'd still like toby greene

I'd have Treloar or Shiel before Toby Greene.

He's a pest off the field and we've got Viney in the wings who is a similar type of player with similar attributes.

We need a dynamic midfield and the missing ingredient atm is class and finish.

Greene wouldn't give us that.

Throw money bags at Treloar and Danger next year and we're on our way

Imagine a midfield rotation of:

Jones

Dangerfield

Tyson

Treloar

Viney

Vince

Brayshaw

Salem

Toumpas

That's disgusting is what that is.

How can we not have cap room with the list we've got.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
