I think he'd respond very well to Roos and if we didn't have to pay over the odds in trade we'd gain an attacking, hard-running, long-kicking HBF. He's not Our Sort of Chap, of course.

Walk up start. Honestly, I don't give a stuff how high maintenance he is. Let me ask, would you prefer him to Terlich?

As for you lot saying you wouldn't renew your memberships - get your hand off it.

WTF? "Our sort of chap"? Are you for real?

Posted

The capitals in Not Our Sort of Chap are meant to convey ironic intent, responding to the content of the various objections to his personality. For real.

I would sign Miley Cyrus if it would help us win games. Harry O is a [censored], but beggars can't be choosers.

I just want us to be playing finals footy again.

Posted

Maybe our club could welcome him down by getting dressed up in Peter Allen costumes and bashing out "When My Baby".

Harry would love it.

Posted

He won't come to us. Remember Terlich and Georgiou Mad Monday.

Trust British paints.......sure can !!

Posted

Anyone got any football reasons for passing, or is it all just personal?

Don't like him as a footballer looked okay in a very good side but found out a lot as the Pies fortunes have dipped

Also his personality has somewhat of a bearing on football, unwanted attention brought on the team and the club by this absolute attention seeking princess

As a player my only question would be does he turn the ball over too much and does he get caught going off his man too often? My gut feel is he does but need to see the replays/stats.

Otherwise he seems like he does is very good at zoning off and plenty of run it is just about hitting targets which we need.

Would prefer him coming off half back to anyone else in our side at the moment.

Grimes, Terlich, Howe, Garland... Yup like I said in our best 22.

What a ridiculous comment!

Happy winning 10 games in 3 years with the current crew?

Robinson and Harry O would be starting 18 players and might come very, very cheap.

We're hardly in a position to say no to a player like Robinson that averages 20 possessions and a goal a game, and Harry O who provides a lot of what we don't have - run, rebound and a desire to bounce and take the game on out of the back line.

I'll be disappointed if we don't interview both.

You can be starting 18 or you can be players that really take this club forward....now which do you think these 2 are?

I would rather invest in players that are the future of this club or players like Cross who can lead to the future. Neither of these players can do this.

Yep- he has no real skill, just athleticism. Just throws it on the foot with no real target or purpose. We players with foot skills.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Btw, what exactly is a Heretier Lumumba?

Heretia Lumumba is a pathogen acquired by swimming in the Lamumba river, a tributary of the Zambesi. Those afflicted suffer from Grandiosity, Hypersensitivity and Proctalgia fugax. There is no cure.

Quoted from the Chookopedia.

Yes from me - the guy can play and Roos will be on the same page around social responsibility etc . He and Mitch Robinson would help our team on field

Posted

Yes definitely for HL. Whoever controls the steering wheel in Demonland must act on some of the rubbish comments in this thread. Pathetic commentary. Pathetic gutter dribble.

Posted

Neither are great footballers, neither use the ball well. Harry gets beaten one on one quite often, Robbo is just a hack, neither if we got them should be in our side in two years times.

The fact both a flogs off the field makes it much easier to say no.

They always play well against us - so maybe

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. I apologize for skipping our annual season review show at the end of last season. After a disapponting season filled with off-field antics and a heated trade week, I needed a break. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
