Oh yay, we are getting a prince as well as a footballer.

But seriously, 3rd round pick or later. This guy is insane.

I'm quite surprised at the dress code for the Filth B and F.

Never thought they would choose African tie.

Happy to end up doing a deal which effectively snares us Heritier Lumumba for Clark, especially when it is the Cats which get Mitch instead of Collingwood. A month ago nobody envisaged that any compensation at all would be coming from Clark's departure.

I really don't see what the issue is? Here we have a person who has come from a disturbing background but has managed somehow to turn himself into a respectful person with integrity and strong values.

Yeah I love a laugh at the pathetic things in life, but here we have an afl footballer who isn't all about going to the Barkley on a sunday night trying to pull birds bragging about afl stardom. We have a bloke who sticks up for what he feels is right. Sure, he can come across a little self-righteous, but in a day and age where the youth aren't of sound moral fibre, he is prepared to be a good role model and get on the front foot to use his status as an afl footballer to try to better those who look up to him.

Anyone with an issue with a person who wants a peaceful and respectful earth should have a good look at themselves before casting rocks at someone like heritier.

I don't care about his personality issues. Far outweighed by his reliable productivity over all his career so far. He will be a prime asset for us and a bargain pick up.

Disagree with you on this one sweet. Rarely is it possible to put the terms "highly articulate" and "footballer" on the same page let alone when referring to one. Heritier spoke honestly and proudly and .... if that's what his name means .... so be it.

I agree with you BBO. I don't mind it

Look, I really only care about his ability on the football field, and how he helps our team .

He does have a rather high opinion of himself though doesn't he?

What was wrong with that?

The bloke is thankful that being at the club and being a footy player has allowed himself to work through some, from what I have read, some pretty hefty issues.

Good on him.

Most footy players are that self-involved and arrogant - at least he is giving it with some eloquence.

With the finger pointing he spoke like a politician.

Without it he spoke like a statesman.

Either way he has passion!

Not much more to say than wow. He's definitely from another planet, I think he means well but it can be difficult communicating with someone that has a very high opinion of his values.

This could be one of Paul Roos' biggest challenges.

[Edit] Wanted to add that in an apparently average year he still managed to finish fourth in the their B&F, rare thing for us to nab someone who is top 5 at their clubs B&F. Hopefully it's not just a ruse to push his value up!

I don't know.....declaring himself "Gifted" and a "Prince"

He is a footballer for god sake, he is not Martin Luther king, or Nelson Mandela, but I feel he thinks he is some sort of Crusader.

As long as he plays good footy that's all I care about, but I do prefer the humble types.

Maybe it was just calling himself a Prince that put me off, at least he has confidence lol

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
