If Hogan looks like staying put, i'd certainly consider popping 1.2 mil a year under dangers nose, i know his family live close to Geelong, but 400k is 400k, especially when imo we're in a far better position list wise than the cats are.

I can see us offering $1.1M+ for Hogan over 6+ years, and comfortably beating Geelong's offer for Dangerfield.

Two swallows does not a winter make, however.

What if they're dead and lying frozen on the ground?

Wait until Adelaide finish up. Then you can tune in thereafter. For the moment, nothing to see here.

look Geelong may be closer in Klm's to Moggies creek, than Melbourne is, but those poor cats whiskers are seen to be old & singed, of late.

.... any-wayz, apparently Moggies creek is just 20Min's as the Crow fly's, via Helicopter !!!

as a well known heavy browed Politician has suggested.

Look, this is probably a wee bit biased and fantastical however, if I was PD and at the end of last year when the MFC came calling with a substantial contract and a really well sold strategy and picture of the list and where we're going, I would, in the best interests of the club, remain at the Crows for 2015 and not do the MFC out of draft picks. I would say, "bring that offer to me when I'm a FA and we're on."

If that was the case, PD has effectively seen the drafting of AB and CP and the blossoming career of the Hulk. It would be the sensible thing to do by ensuring the club he's heading to has gained maximum value from his move.

The MFC may have given up pick 2 and a player, or pick 12 if the Trengove trade had have transpired but the must have backed themselves to keep him. The compensation will now still be top 10 but in a shallow draft it's hardly been a good decision by them.

Who knows. I'm as hopeful as anyone else here.

He's a club changer.

I would love to have him playing for us, but I don't like the idea of selling the farm to get one player. The exception to that view would be for Jesse, who I said on here 2 years ago, after seeing him play, that he was the closest to a young Carey I had seen.

Back on point though, with a FA we are only talking salary cap space and therefore if we can balance our books and not lose anyone we want to keep, I say, sell the farm.

I'd rather he stayed at Adelaide than went to bloody Geelong.

Sick of clubs being able to prolong their time at the top thanks to free agency. It's an abomination.

Dangerfield just tweeted a message to Petracca, that Mick Dundee wants his hat back, after seeing a pick Petracca just instagrammed.

Maybe Paddy has just become friends with all the Demon boys on Instagram and Twitter for a reason.

I'm sure I'm reading too much into it though....just thought I'd pass on the info and my optimistic take anyway.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
