Frawley delayed the meeting for another month

If true that is his right. He can't negotiate in theory, with clubs before the free agent trade period in October so why would you want any conjecture before that time. That is the official line, who knows he may have confidentially given Roosey the nod but the fact he has delayed until the official negotiating period says he is on his bike. I think Roosey would know where he stands and I think he knew some time ago. Frawley has been playing forward for a reason.

Melbourne should remove the current offer and put a second lesser paying offer on the table with a note that that offer is good for 1 week, after which another offer of a lesser amount will be offered, so that he can take all the time he likes to make his decision.

No deecisive the offer should be removed full stop.

Hold on we need to make sure the offer from other clubs is maximised to get the best compo in the draft so I would make him a fair offer based on his real value to our club. If he decides to stay great, if he goes we get the max compo.

Frawley needs to just p155 0ff.

Talk about the tail wagging the dog!

If he aint committed he should rack off.

Lets watch as he emulates the incredible successes of Scully, Moloney, Sylvia etc. ;-)

I hope Frawley leaves, I prayed Scully left as well.

When players come out and are not absolute in their committment to the club, then I don't want them.
We need men, we do not need insecure, attention seeking little children.

Scully has performed to expectations for mine and Frawley will do the same - if not do less.

I tend to agree with the great Leigh Mathews in that Frawley is on just a footballer.

I'm now at the point where I want Frawley to leave, throughout the year I've gone from wanting him to stay to not caring. I would now be disappointed if he stayed.

To me, Frawley epotomizes all that is and has been wrong with the playing group. His attitude and body language, especially in the last 4-6 weeks was a disgrace. See you later.

The saying 'Loyal Country Boy' is blown so way out of proportion. Im a country boy and loyalty in country is no different to city.

In fact loyalty in country is gone out the door these days dont even know why this term is still even used.

I suggest you tell your loyal, country boy mate known as Chip that.

Everyone else gets it.

3AW tweeted that hevwas unhappy with his exit interview. Perhaps Roos told him what he really thought?

Hope so

Roos would be speaking on behalf of 90% of us if he told him some home truths about being honest and not holding the club to ransom

Good.

The performance he has put up this year has been disgraceful. Supposed leader and trying to hold the club to ransom for his weak excuse.

I don't blame him for wanting to leave, he's talented and he's never played in a final and realistically may not play in one until he's 30, and lets not mention his chances of winning a flag with us.

By going to a successful club he knows his chances of fulfilling the ultimate dream of a premiership is realistic. So honestly, who can blame him.

What I do blame him for, is his pathetic leadership, stringing the club along and acting like a complete damn princess.

Don't be a total f'wit to the club that has paid you handsomly and given you ample opportunities over the year. We may not be successful, but we have never done anything but be kind and supportive of your career. 3 coaches have all backed you, as have the supporters and the administration.

To now behave like a child who just can't make up his mind, all the while not putting in any effort on the field and holding us to ransom, is just not on.

cant beleive his giving us the run around. All he cares about is himself.

Ummm

Firstly - of course he only cares about himself

Secondly - Why do you think it is the run around - this was never going to be settled until ALL clubs have finished the season.

Does anyone believe this only about seeing the direction of our club ? It may have been this in part but it is as much or more about securing his own future and this can't be done until the season is done and dusted - and that is after the GF.

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo

    WELCOME 2024 by Meggs

It’s been hard to miss the seismic global momentum happening in Women’s sport of late. The Matildas have been playing to record sell-out crowds across Australia and ‘Mary Fowler is God’ is chalked onto footpaths everywhere. WNBA basketball rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has almost single-handedly elevated her Indiana Fever team to unprecedented viewership, attendances and playoffs in the USA.   Our female Aussie Paris 2024 Olympians won 13 out of Australia’s all-time record 18 gol

    EPILOGUE by Whispering Jack

I sit huddled in near darkness, the only light coming through flickering embers in a damp fireplace, the room in total silence after the thunderstorm died. I wonder if they bothered to restart the game.  No point really. It was over before it started. The team’s five star generals in defence and midfield ruled out of the fray, a few others missing in action against superior enemy firepower and too few left to fly the flag for the field marshal defiantly leading his outnumbered army int
