You are not Robinson Crusoe on that one binman

It affects most Dees supporters at this time of the year to some extent

Haha I can live with both + the Facey page with these reports. More diverse number of likes I s'pose.

This thread has got me pumped - great reports, thanks. Love this time of year - last season is just a bitter memory and I'm fully recharged with optimism again.

Did Trenners get back into it for the intraclub? Plus any reports on Vince or Michie getting the ball.

Tyson didn't impress me too much in the circle work drill on Wednesday. He almost seemed bored with it. So glad he got involved in the match simulation.

Sounds like the plan is to be pretty fresh for the Richmond game but that's fine with me. It'll be early Feb, way too early to get carried away.

Trengove was pretty quiet in the intraclub, Vince probably could've done better, started at the stoppages but I saw him fumble. I'm not sure how Michie went in the game, but he seemed really confident running and kicking during the drills, vocal too

Very glad to hear Dean Kent took part in the match sim.

The way people have been talking it seemed he would be out long term and hasn't trained all summer.

I guess they were wrong.

Great report! Not only did I feel like I was there. I feel like we won a final. Got my adrenaline pumping. I'll have a drink of reality later but not before enjoying the positives.

Wasn't last seasons training threads also positive and we look good doing this and that?

Then round 1 come around and the rest is well history.

Hopefully it's a diff result this season and I will feel more relaxed once I c us being competitive for 4 quarters.

Trenners was fine. Just a bit of a rub and away he went.

Vince got a centre clearance but then undid all his good work with a poor kick IIRC. Michie didn't see too much of.

Tas, with Watts at centre bounces did he crack in or skirt the pack?

Also was Dawes at CHF or FF?

Watts did crack in to the centre bounces but in general play he skirted the packs.

Dawes was pretty much CHF in the drills today. Don't remember if he played the mini-game or not.

I was at a few training sessions last year and we weren't that good. Only bloke who thought we were really super amazing fantastic good was Neeld and that infamous 'training the house down' quote. Not going to lie but through these reports my rep will be on the line come the opening month of the season.

how long before the inevitable " WE GOT THIS" thread starts

Relax...

Seriously though even being at Docklands, Saints (who will be competing heavily for the spoon this year) minus Dal Santo, McEvoy and Milne should be a good first up hit out for us.

And Montagna, he is suspended. And milera (sp) Asada said he was naughty.

GAMEDAY: Match SIM vs North Melbourne

After an agonizingly long off-season the 2025 AFL Premiership Season is almost upon us and the Demons have their first practice hit out against the Kangaroos in a match simulation out at Arden Street. The Demons will take on the Kangaroos in match simulation play, starting from 10am AEDT and broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo. The play start time was brought forward from the initial 11am bounce, due to the high temperatures forecast.  The match sim will consist of four 25-minute qu

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Gentle flush session at Gosch's this morning. Absent: May, Pickett (All Stars) McVee, McAdam. Rehabbing: Great to see Kentfield back (much slimmer), walking with Tholstrup, TMac (suspect just a management thing), Viney (still being cautious with that rib cartilage?), Melksham (

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. Firstly the bad news - McVee went down late, which does look like a bad hammy - towards the end of match sim, as he kicked the ball. Had to

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
