his foot is now 100%

he is training at 100%

The coaches are having to hold him back a bit to be safe but he is like a bull in a china shop

Lets not forget his 2nd surgery was to remove the screw that was causing irritation. Its not like he had another break or anything

Cant wait to see him out there in round 1 !!

I have heard some concerning rumours about Mitch Clark. Does anyone have the real story on his recovery?

Where did you hear them and what did they actually say beyond "his foot is having trouble healing"?

As I keep saying, if people are going to post rumours, at least provide some substance.

I guess us long suffering Demon fans have become natural pessimists, especially over the last few years. But also extending back through the likes of Lyon, Ox, Tingay, Glenn Lovett, Sean Charles, Paul Prymke, Jakovich, even James Cook. All had their careers curtailed by chronic or recurring injuries. Even Liam Jurrah had his big woes start as a result of being home recuperating rather than playing for us.

I guess we just hope like hell that Mitch's name doesn't get added to that list.

Somebody is having a lend of you mate.

He has no lingering issues as a result of his foot injury.

It's now just a matter of getting his fitness back up to speed after a long lay-off.

Rumours including those which turn out to be false are part and parcel of the AFL.

Unfortunately, it's something we have to live with.

If one starts a thread based on an unsubstantiated rumour without any elaboration, or stating where it came from, they deserve a holiday.

And if one writes in the third person, one also deserves a holiday for high grade pomposity.

So Clark is re-gaining fitness, Hogan is apparently 'training the house down' but what about the third member of the triumvirate of terror - Dawes. Anyone got an idea as to when he could be expected back in full training?

I am so looking forward to watching the 3 of them jog into the forward line before the bounce round one. A proper man sized forward line. Actually XXXL. No more Brad Green as a focal point or robbing the back line of Col Garland or watching Jack Watts get monstered in one on ones. No more getting bullied, no more bruise free footy. Nup

Just 3 genuinely big blokes who all have go, who can all play smart footy and who are all aggressive to man and ball..

I am hoping it will be a Melbourne like none we have seen before

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
