If Williams or Eade want the job, they will talk to PJ and however is left of our board as soon as possible. Then they would be actively starting to plan for their tenure. They all have openings in their contracts regarding senior positions. Seriously the person who takes the role should be going hell for leather to get a senior role not waiting to be contacted on the off chance.

I've thought since he was originally asked about the job, and refused to categorically rule himself out that we will get him, and after watching him again tonight, I still think we will.

Even if he knows he has no intention of taking the job, I'm sure he'd enjoy the attention, the courting and then inside info he might glean by being involved in the race.

What one person said and did is not actually relevant to what someone else may do in similar circumstances.

That's not to say Roos may not ultimately be our head coach, but to say he could be simply because Hird ruled it out at some point in time and then ultimately took the gig is the stuff of the shock jock world.

IMO Roos will either take the gig or not based on his personal circumstances - and I suspect, at this point in time, something needs to change on that front.
