All this Roos talk is worrying me.......All this talk of the messiah ......What if he turns out to be the Malcom Blight of St Kilda fame

What if all he proves is that it is the list not the coach.....

What if it all turns to sh!te .....what the hell do we do then?

I'm not saying that this will occur........But the confidence on here is a little concerning..........

Edit....Spelling

Don't worry Boosdog.

We will start a "it's time to go Paul Roos" thread and he will be gone within 2-3 months!!!!!

We've got this!!

Stuart Dew is the Swans "stoppages" coach. if he wants a new challenge he is more than welcome to come across on Roos coat tails

The Swans midfield is everything I want for Melbourne; tough, skilled, organised and not over-reliant on one star individual

Firstly I reckon St Kilda were out of line to sack Blight so early into his contract. This culture of giving the coach th flick at the drop if a hat is pathetic.

But yes what your saying has to be a concern at some level, especially if the asking price is so high. I mentioned it back back MN was coach and people were asking what happens if we keep him and it all turns to s___ again. I countered with wht happens if we sign Roos and it all turns to s___ again?

There's no doubt he has the runs on the board though and you would think even though none have played under him the players would already have a huge amount of respect for him.

If he does come to us then I think we supporters need to be careful about seeing him as the messiah. All that talk comes from fans.

Blight was sacked because he wasn't turning up to club functions, it was as simple as that, he never bought into the club.

The more that Roos delays his decision the more he can get out of the AFL, and let's face it the AFL are the ones who are offering him the role. They want the MFC to be successfully and they want Roos to be coach, he can just sit back and negotiate more out of them before signing

The longer Roos waits the more chance that Craig turns this club around and builds a groundswell of support.

That's how Roos got the swans job when he came in half way through the season.

There is a strong chance that the dees win 3-4 games by seasons end.

If that's the case then Craig firms as coach in my opinion

I've heard the rumour that the deal is done too.

Source has been spot on previously, but admits that at this stage it's more speculation rather than 100% confirmed.

So what you are saying is that someone who has been spot on previously, has speculated that Roos has signed.

To sum up he has guessed.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this or heard it. I was at the games last Wednesday and heard Michael o'laughlin interviewed on sen. During the interview he said he was asked a month or so ago to be an assistant coach. He didn't mention the team. Due to the timing of this request I would guess we were are part of this. They didn't go into it further and maybe didn't even really pick up on the comment. It is very possible that he would come with roos. I am of the belief roos is coming. Of course, I could be wrong.

I have heard a rumour too, nothing has been signed , but both parties are in negotiation.

Same source told me Neeld would be sacked 3 days before it was announced.

Little paper saying AFL will bankroll Dees' bid for Roos. Just sayin'.

The question has to be asked "Why would they be approached and say yes to an offer unles we were a fair way down the track with Roos?

I am starting to think he is already signed, sealed and delivered and this smells like a typical AFL clumsily orchestrated PR campaign. Very similar in terms of leakage and predictability, to the Scully and the Tanking campaigns.

Then again it could also just be the newspaper reporters just makin stuff up.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Carlton

The Demons were blown out of the water in the first quarter and clawed their way back into the contest but it was a case of too little too late as they lost another close one to Carlton losing by 1 point at the MCG.
