If anyone has not noticed both Leighoak and Bentleigh Club have a fantastic deal for this game.

It is includes lunch, bus trip out to Casey, entry to the game and a "roast dinner" on your return - all yours for $50 adults.

Parking and getting out of the ground will be horrendous and seating probably non-existing so get on board the bus and support the Club.

There are more details on the Club's website.

Just on Parking, never been to that area, is there street parking nearby?

It's a number of grounds out at Casey. There is enough parking in the surrounding area and a decent sized park just outside the ground but it can get messy if there is enough people coming and going at the same time as there is only one entry/exit point.

Leave early or late I would say.

Will be heading over to the St. Kilda game with a mate.

Who else will be in attendance?

Does Demonland have its own Grandstand & Full Bar facilities?

Would love to share a few cold ones and see the Aints get throttled.

Unfortunately I'll be stuck at home 600kms away, but I'll be at Casey in spirit, glass in hand, and hanging off every progress report that you good guys are a able to send via my favourite website. Thanks in anticipation!!

Can anyone recommend a place to park? I'm thinking of taking my 3 year old for his first Demon experience and will be driving. From the MFC website I get the impression that parking at Casey Fields is limited and could be an issue.

Any advice...

Will be there,

Parking should be fine really, especially if you get there even a bit early. The roads inbound through Cranbourne / Clyde can do get congested.

Edit: Got to one game at quarter time last year and had to park in the area behind the goals instead of behind the stands but that was a 5 minute walk instead of a 2 minute walk.

Yeah, the actual parking itself is no problem, it's the roads on the way in that aren't ideal. I think if you get there early it's all good but trying to arrive at game time you're going to be in a world of hurt.

They'll be charging for parking, but have a free bus from the train station. Not exactly a good thing for those of us who have to drive. Also, it looks like the arrive before the game thing is shot given they have a big get-together planned for the families beforehand. I still plan to go along of course, but it is a minor annoyance.

Well I just purchased a lot out there to build on that's a 5 minute walk from the ground opposite the athletics track so I might just have to park on that...

3?

My advice is to wait till round 1. Port better first up choice. Ground will be full at Casey and facilities not ideal, will probably spend game holding him. Round 1 will be against interstate team at the G. More space, better facilities.

Is my plan for my 3yo first Demon experience anyway...

There's fun and games on pre-game. He'll be ok.

I live 15 minutes away from Casey. The parking is really good. Limited capacity and definitely not sufficient for the crowd likely for the game against the Saints. Arrive really early if you want a definite car park.

The ground is usually excellent but they had some grass poisoned by an over zealous attendant who killed more than the weeds. There is still some speculation that because of this the game might be moved. Keep your eyes on the MFC website, especially the morning of the game.

I can't believe I have a wedding to attend. Murphy's %$@&* law again. I will have the AFL app on most of the day - maybe even during the ceremony - and I am conducting it!

The grandstand is good but is small, and many people end up on the eastern side of the ground due to sun glare. There are 3 long shelters on the eastern side of the ground. If you come be prepared for wind (it is NEVER still at Casey Fields)

I parked 200 metres West of the ground a year or so back. It was in a local business car park after hours. No problem after game. Just a brisk walk. I will be driving, but getting there early is a must, given local estate traffic and distance from MCG. No Bars, as such, just regular country football canteen. Buy up and stack em up is my suggestion!

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
