No idea whether or not he's broken his foot, but Colin Garland broke his navicular bone, spent a year out of footy, and is now playing some awesome footy. Not necessarily career ending

I hope you arent stupid enough to think that just because a person has not been a member of this online forum for long means they are not reliable or that their posts have no crediblity.

No just an interesting observation. If you make such a claim you should be able to back it up with evidence. We'll hear from the club soon.

All i'm saying is my sources have reported a broken foot - for most of you that know anything about anatomy, a broken foot almost always means the navicular as it is kind of a wedged bone, can't move under pressure and often takes a lot of stress at it's skinniest point. So it's not anything different to a 'normal' broken foot.

And most of the time, a broken foot isn't all that bad, similar to a broken arm or something, wait for the bone to heal, which doesnt take long as it's a very small (but vital) bone. The only issue is the inability to perform any weight bearing tasks.

EDIT: completely understand the mis-trust, been on this thing for not long compared to most of you lot, however love the dees and i wouldn't go around making up [censored] and bull stories just to [censored] off my fellow supporters.

So basically because someone? said he has a broken foot you are guessing it is a navicular done.

Even if it is true you don't make a post like this unless you have some reliable information to back it up.

Interestingly, in Rod Nicholson's article to be published in the HUN tomorrow he writes -

"3.)  Melbourne's win was even more impressive given young gun Jack Grimes injured an ankle and was substituted within the opening 20 minutes, forcing the Demons to be more asture with rotations. He will have precautionary scans today."

If I remember correctly, we banned a poster for 12 for spreading misinformation about an injury allegedly sustained by Jack Grimes a couple of years ago.

I would suggest that our moderators will be consistent on this issue if the information turns out to be incorrect again this time (as I hope is the case).

Twelve months is a long time but in that instance the poster was given the opportunity to 'fess up and show remorse but that didn't happen on that occasion.

Have a look at the video of the team singing the song post match.

Grimes joins in, and I can't really tell if he's on crutches. He is definitely not on two crutches, possibly just one.

Can't have a broken foot if he's up singing the song. Anyone who has broken anything from the hip down before would tell you that standing up singing is not top of your priority list. Unless you are really high on Morphine. So fingers crossed!

it'll be hard to cover the losses of Trengove and Grimes if they actually are rubbed out with suspension and serious injury as per the roumours...

crutches.

Thanks for the clarification. I actually thought Grimes travelled to and from games in a zimmer frame. Fortunately you were here to let me know that Grimes wasn't actually using a zimmer frame when the players were singing the song.

I did not see that photo. In the video you can see him in the bottom of the screen and he seemed to stand on his own.

Please please please be kind to him footy gods, he deserves some good luck!

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
