JAck Watts start to dominate a couple of games.

Yeah, this one.

Watts to kick 4+ goals in a couple of games.

Posted

Jurrah to play out the full 22 rounds and boot 60+ goals - ah what the hell... also want him to win the Coleman AND mark of the year AND goal of the year.

Posted

colin sylvia to dismantle opposition teams and also a win against geelong would be good.

No brainer:

THRASH. COLLINGWOOD !!!

Smack their bums !!!! :) :) :)

-Jim Stynes in full remission

-One finals appearance

-6 blokes (up from 3 last year) in the All-Australian squad of 40-odd (Sylvia, Frawley, Jamar, Davey, Jurrah, Grimes who knows)

-Even more young guns to emerge from the list (Blease, Tapscott, Cook, Howe etc) our enemies will start to get exceptionally nervous if that happens

-Further increase in membership and attendances bringing us close to league average

-Another financially profitable year

-Wins against top sides and wins interstate and at Etihad

-More arrogance from Bailey

not asking for much :D

Be in top 4 for lowest scored against

Be in top 8 for goals for

Watts & Jurrah show the start of a special 10 year forward line understanding

Sylvia for the Bluey, Brownlow, and hey maybe even the Norm Smith

Queen's birthday flogging of the Colliewobblers

No more serious injuries to our top 12 players. If we get through the season relatively injury free our performance expectations will likely be met.

To Beat Carlton.

The team that started all this tanking rot by cheating us out of the priorty pick round 22 2007 and it has plagued us ever since.

We are rising so knocking them off would be ever so sweet.

Yeah , Stynsey coming good would be awesome .

Spank Collingwood .... In a final .

All of the above and the AFL to step in say that NO CLUB can poach a player until he has at least 5 years with his club that first signed him unless they cannot mutually agree. And that NO PLAYER can gain greater incentives than $500,000 per year until they have played at least 100 games..

See one of the young kids step up and show they've got what it takes (Blease, Tappy, Howe, Cook, Strauss etc).

Also hope that Giz can carry on from last years impressive debut.

Can't decide between Jack Watts showing Naitanui who's boss, or knocking Carlton out of the finals.

I'd also like to see Blease, Tapscott and Gysberts get some good game time this year and show us what they can do.

The selfish one would be to thrash the pies on queen's birthday,

but I think I will go with seeing our injury plagued players getting through the year unscathed (Grimes, Wonaeamirri, Petterd, Jurrah, Rivers, Garland, Tapscott)

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
