  1. Fwiw I actually sell AFL premiership memorabilia, including the framed HeraldSun poster. I pledge to give a significant discount to all Demonlanders upon our victory, and of course an attractive financial thank you to the administrators here. When we win I’ll put up some images of available product.

  2. For those wanting to disengage from footy until Game Day by listening to more footy content. Thought this was very honest with some Gus humour thrown in.

  3. You all beat me to the mark. Just saw his presser. Quality person, quality footballer. And for those who doubt his effective input into our stellar season so far, take a bath.

  5. He's a great media performer but he also just seems super genuine, which seems to be a theme with most dees players getting interviewed this year, less catchphrase cliches and more stuff from the heart. #Positivelingers #SultansofWing

  8. Why do I want Geelong? Because we have to end it. Fate is calling and it is time to pick up the phone, take a deep breath and just end this.

  9. To add insult to injury, I assume the airline has just imposed an "Excess Baggage" charge on GWS for carrying Greene to WA.

  10. Josh’s role during the Roos era should never be underestimated in the success we’re currently having. Good luck to him with the shot at the AFL GM role.

  11. Thank you to each and every Victorian who has done the wrong thing and ruined the grand final for us. Really, truly, thank you. And a special shout out to my mate Scotty for his vaccination stroll out program. I look forward to getting to the MCG in 2098.

  12. This is for interstate fans that can get into WA for the GF. I contacted the club re member ticketing priorities. They advised people can still buy an 'Access Membership' for $49 which gives Priority 3 opportunity to GF tickets. One of our posters here mentioned that GF participating teams are allocated 10 to 15K tickets. I would be surprised if we have that many i/state members to use up the Priority 1, 2 and 3 allocations. We may not make the GF but a $49 'Access Membership' may be the best chance to buy a ticket. As an aside, the 'Access Membership' gives member priority to buy a ticket during the 'pre-sales' period for the Preliminary final ie before tickets at Optus are available for public purchase. So Tassie, NT, SA and WA folk, buy the $49 membership this week and go to both games! I wasn't able to find a link to Membership packages so it may be best to call/email the club if i/state fans are interested.

  13. I have been quietly thankful to Josh Mahoney during the course of this wonderful season. He did a lot of hard yards in bygone years from which we are now reaping the benefits. Hope he gets the AFL gig. Seriously capable fella.

  14. I want to play Geelong and I want to beat Geelong. None of this Paul Keating ‘doing them slowly’ nonsense either. I want it over by 1/4 time and to pull away from there. I want it to be emphatic. I want to run them off their feet. For Oliver to run Selwood stupid and to see the look in Dangerfields eyes when he realises that there will be no fairytale flag for him. It will be obvious to one and all that their era is over, forever done and dusted, and we, Melbourne, landed the knockdown punch. Aside from that I’m not that fussed.

  15. Craig McRae is widely known in footy by the nickname "Fly". Does this mean we can refer to his baby Magpies as "Maggots"?

  16. Yep. This double standards is [censored]. Neal Bulleen got 4 weeks for a sling tackle that he pleaded guilty to and showed remorse. Not directly comparable but one is a worse look on the afl.

  17. One thing is clear, if a non-star player had done that, regardless of the outcome, it would not take the tribunal almost 3 hours to hear the case.

  19. i think people aren't getting the most important message out of this presser - gus is now the (admittedly self-professed) best basketballer at the club

  21. I don’t care where it is tbh, it was never going to be here once COVID hit again. Im just baffled that they have put the bye in again. Don’t tempt fate, just play the friggin game.

  22. Anyone that calls you selfish probably attends 4 or 5 games a year, hasn't got a GF guarantee so was going to watch the game on TV regardless and probably wouldn't have bothered rocking up to a game in the Bailey and Neeld era. In other words has no idea what you and other loyal MFC members are going through. We are being denied what Dogs, Richmond and Geelong supporters got to experience when they broke their long droughts. If that's viewed as selfishness (which I was accused of by a Western Australian based poster) then they are completely out of touch.

  24. Feeling for you blokes over in VIC (even though we are yet to make it in). I know there are those who are much older than me and would want nothing more than to be at the GF if we make it. I feel guilty for how lucky I am being here in WA.

  25. Correct verdict, penalty the absolute bare minimum but IMO too light. The AFL has a lot of work to do with its MRO/Tribunal process for 2022. Greene, like Selwood, is a brilliant example of why repeated fines do nothing to deter behaviour.

  26. I'm wondering if a reason for taking the whole list is so that the team can play practice matches in the bye weeks. Of course, giving the whole list the chance to participate in a finals campaign atmosphere will be invaluable and rewarding for them. I reckon Burgess will have the team cherry ripe whenever they play. 🤞🙏

  29. I definitely prefer to play GWS, but Greene just made sure that won't happen. Beating Geelong 3 times in one season is going to be a big ask. On the other hand, they will be exhausted and we will be fresh. Their old legs might give out. I still hate both these teams with a passion and I hope they bash each other badly this weekend.

  30. That might be the case, and if so I wouldn't mind defeating Geelong three times in one year.

  36. Gleeson: It is simply not true to say you didn't intend to make contact with him, is that correct? Just keep reframing the question in more confusing ways and Toby should break and start swearing and abusing the lawyer then case closed! Soooo you'd say it's not untrue that you didn't think you should not have made contact? I find that have to believe
