GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

Recommended Posts

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

Kind of hope we win by 1 point just so our percentage will be exactly 100.0

(on a serious note, hoping for a solid 4 quarter performance, apply scoreboard pressure during the second half, build on the gains of last week and take advantage of the reported upheaval at West Coast)

Alarm is set for game time - 5:10 am. Hard to believe it's predicted to be 34 degrees.

Sorry, there I am braggin' again. That''s Sorrento 🇮🇹 time and temp.

BTW didn't see Max and Goodie at the bar of the Conti. Didn't see the Conti.

Feel like it’s been eternity since last Friday night and I can’t wait to see if we bring that same level of intensity. If we do, I expect the Eagles to fold quickly and we should win by 8+ goals.

Waterman to be a late out too I’m predicting.

Well, rug up folks... i will be

Just want a fluid game that reminds me of cohesion . Bring our best ...that's all

If Lions get home we're still in the basement.

Let's get a 'game' happening.  Let's build .

Go get'em Milky. Welcone back.

Some semblance of footy nouse back in the lineup with the 2 Jakes ;)

Go Dees

FOUR quarters !!!

Pies Dogs and Suns done us a favour by losing, we just have to secure a win today to revive the season….I think we will get it done by about 25 points

We’re a different side today than what we were last time we met them. Not so much in terms of personnel but definitely regarding belief and confidence. We’ve got it in spades!

Us by a BBB, a Gussy and a Leb (66 pts)

YEAH THE MIGHTY DEES!

I’d take that would be nice to have a relaxing day at the footy, the old heart isn’t the best and those nailbiters probably subtract a week from my life every time

THE HEAT IS ON by Meggs

FNQ will be hot and sultry this Thursday night when the mighty Demons take on the highflying Hawks at up there Cazalys Stadium in Cairns.   The Demons once again rebrand for Indigenous Round as ‘Narrm’, the Woi Wurrung name for Melbourne in the language of the traditional owners.   Narrm has surged back up the ladder and sits just outside the eight on percentage with 5 wins. Our opponents Hawthorn sit second with 8 wins and have been become really offensive.

Unfortunately, the remainder of his time at the club was hampered by injury including the need to undergo knee surgery. He retired from playing football at the end of the season after 4

    AWESOME FOURSOME by Meggs

The rejuvenated Demons out tussled the Tigers by 13 points to make it four wins on the trot on Saturday which means that the slight possibility of a finals appearance remains alive in 2024. This is despite the AFLW handicapping the Demons against their peers yet again (more later). Lots to celebrate as it was Kids Day at Casey Fields and both teams ran onto the ground modelling their Pride jumpers.   Kate Hore won the toss and kicked to the Clyde end. Thankfully, the notorious Casey

    MORE FIERCE by Meggs

We’re back!  Winning the last three matches has recaptured our Demon spirit and, with superstar players returning from rehab, our Season 2024 dreams are not over yet.   So come along 5.05 pm Saturday afternoon to watch this Round 9 ladder-defining match at the Field of Dreams. Expect the Tigers to be fierce, but surely the Demons will be more fierce. Playing conditions are expected to be a dry 15 degrees with a typically gusty Cranbourne wind. THE TRADING CHRONICLES 03

Part 3: Happier Days by Whispering Jack It would be fair to say that when the Melbourne Football Club entered the free agency and trade period earlier this month, its reputation was flagging, if not in tatters. The club was taking a battering in the media and social media over a number of issues, some real and others imaginary and even fabricated, relating to the running of the club, team performance and its culture, a build up that’s been taking place for more than twelve months.
